Dirt 3 is more racing and rally, Dirt Showdown it's more showcase and drifting and arcade.

it depends of what kind of races you like.

Although I haven't gotten around to playing it yet myself, I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that Dirt 3 is the superior game.

I have the all Dirt in steam, and the best is Dirt 3.

Get 3. (Play the demo for SD and if you like it get it, but 3 is a much better game)

Neither. Especially avoid the DRM-laden Dirt 3.

I prefer Dirt Showdown. Harder to handle the car in Dirt 3. But its a nice game too. Although I think Dirt 2 is better.

DiRT 1 and 2 are awesome.

I'd pick DiRT 3. But like others have pointed out, DiRT 1 & 2 are the superior games, mostly coz it doesn't have silly arena-type showboating that has absolutely nothing to do with racing. I got the megapack with all the games (excluding 1 which for some reason doesn't exist anymore), but i am pretty sure i will never play showdown. Ever. I hope Codemasters goes back to making the DiRT series a game that's more about mucking about in muddy forests and less about smashing goddamn cardboard pictures. :s
