It seems like they occasionally "forget" you did the trial before. I've been able to redo it a few times. Maybe only once or twice to my recollection though.

not sure why they wouldnt let you use your card but it has to have some cash on it, they charged me $1.30 twice (had to do it for GF as well), but we didnt make new accounts, we had accounts already with the card added, just had to activate prime and select that card. im surprised it worked on two separate amazon accounts same card, im glad though, i hate us be treated as a whole when we are two individuals who happen to share 1 card

every sort of "free trial" will tag your card for whatever amount to ensure it has money, otherwise whats the point of letting you do the "trial" if at the end of the month they cant hit you with the bill. thats also probably how they check if its a real card/good information

ah gotcha. this is what it says on the payment. how long it last im not really sure but its usually under a week and it will say canceled

edit: however i did just have to sit in chat with customer service to be refunded $11.24 because they charged my GFs account immediately instead of giving her the 30 day free trial. Im pretty sure ive done the free trial numerous times as she has so im not sure why hers went stupid. In the end I was refunded (3-5 business days pending to see if it appears back in my account). They tried veryyyyyy hard not to issue a refund. I mean the guy was like youll get back 5 something cause you already made an order with prime expedited shipping n blah blah blah. I was like wtf? im suppose to have a FREE 30 day trial, which includes free 2 day shipping. So go somewhere with that bs. Then after a while 10.99 which is the monthly fee but my account says I was charged 11.24 so i said look, i was charged 11.24 and i will be refunded the full amount, nothing less or I will be contacting my bank next. DONE

it works, you have to make sure it says "Your Prime" and not " Try Prime" when you are checking out. I didnt realize that since i put to activate prime on my US one it wasnt automatically on for the .UK so i had to redo the try prime and it went immediately to "Your Prime". Checked my basket and it was $0 for the game

without a real one? ummm if you mean none at all then no, if you mean if you can use a prepaid or some other type of card then i wouldnt know. i would assume prepaids/reloadables would work just fine

yes, signup, do what you need and cancel immediately, you dont even lose prime if you cancel, save yourself the trouble of remembering or going WHAT THE HELL IS THIS IS CHARGE?!!?! (i forgot and got charged $80, lol, luckily they reimbursed me) ive done the free trial MANYYYYYY times, signup, cancel, enjoy
edit: oh and they will charge to make sure the card is good, i got charged $1.30 which should be returned in a week or so

Older Steamplay stuff sometimes has separate library entries for PC and Mac versions of the game. I only first noticed because I sometimes play games on my works Mac and it tracks playtime, etc for some titles separately to if I play the game on my PC. Civ4 complete is one of them which has 4 library entries for PC and 3 for Mac. The older GTA titles are the same and I think some of the older CoD games.
