Dark SteamGifts Userstyle v0.5 Beta

Stylish doesn't auto-update so it is highly recommended that you update manually via the download page once in a while.

Steamgifts is a very bright/light site. Some people in the official steamgifts chat wanted to see something that was darker. I decided to make it and here it is. This is fully compatible with Steamgifts Plus

Note: Firefox for some reason looks more "rough" than those screenshots taken in chrome. It has the overall feel but there are some white borders on places, etc. that I'm still looking into.

Please Note: This is the first public version. I'm not still not sure what quirks are there and whether or not it plays that well with small screens.

Install for Firefox

  1. Get Stylish
  2. Go to the download link
  3. Click Add to Stylish

Install for Google Chrome

  1. Get Stylish
  2. Go to the download link
  3. Click Add to Stylish

Install for Opera 15

  1. Get Stylish
  2. Go to the download link
  3. Click Add to Stylish

Or

  1. If you have greasemonkey already, you can use the 'install this style as user script' on userstyles.org. Stylish is still recommended over it though.

Post them here or on this forum. Github is the better place though.

Hmmmm the green and purple border for group and wishlist giveaways, that does be surrounding the image in gridview has now stopped working when I updated. any ideas?

Not sure if it worked in the past updates. But ever since the borders have been overrided with a dark border color, they have been gone. I will help tr4656 look into it.

Ya I was about to come back here to post that. I think that SG and SG+ just need to be update to use CSS for most of the site. A lot of the inline stuff is making it hard lol

Thank you very much tr! I don't mind white sites, but given the option I do prefer something that isn't so hard on the eyes (brightness wise, anyways) :>

This looks pretty good. It has some small issues on Firefox as other have been reporting, but the end result is still great. I will gladly use it and manually update as you recommended.

I'm not sure who will see this but I'm going to take a poll here. For Firefox, you can either get the outline for SG+ in gridview and the box would be white or the outline would be dark without SG+ outlines. Chrome users would have both.

If you can change it yourself correct the color to #EAEAEA , otherwise i'm sure he will fix it in the morning.

can't see same text color as background color ;)

This is farging amazing, but text on "Submit Comment" with SH Enhancemend mod is barely visible. (gray text on white background)

Are you using Stylish or Greasemonkey? I can't reproduce it on Firefox or Nightly.

I'm using this style with Stylish, i'm also using Greasemonkey but for something else. (SteamGifts Plus)

Edit:
I tried to turn off Steamgifts Plus for Greasemonkey and the issue is still there so it's not interfering..

Edit 2:
Installed it with Greasemonkey instead of Stylish and now this bug is gone, i can finally see what am I typing. ;-)

For Firefox, you might want to use User Style Manager instead of Stylish. User Style Manager auto-updates styles from userstyles.org
