Never played them myself, I'll give you a bump though.

Bump cause 2K6 on the 360 had the easiest achievements ever.

I can't compare, but I have NBA 2K14. I really liked it. I've read that NBA 2K15 doesn't represent a significant improvement, but it does have international leagues, which is really cool. NBA 2K14 will be cheaper, but if the difference in price isn't too much, you get more updated player stats with 2K15 and foreign leagues. Comes down to how you weight these things.

2K14 is awesome but 2K15 has the new engine (in 2K14 the new engine remained exclusive for consoles). I guess it all depends on how much money do you want to spend. That said, I insist, 2K14 is awesome.

Own all NBA 2K titles from 2011 to 2015 on PC and i can tell that my favorite is by far 2K14! I bought them to play coop games so i personally enjoy more 2K14 over 2K15 (next gen graphics do not look that good when you create teams full of new players).
However, the single player of 2K15 is astonishing! Many videos (negative part for me) but huge control over you character both in court and off court.
OVERALL: If you like coop or multi, buy 2K14. If you like single player more, buy 2K15. Either way, buy one of them if you like 2K13 and basketball!!!

This is very helpful. I try to buy sports games every other year but I can get both 14 and 15 for $19 total. It's hard to know if it's worth getting both though or if I'll start one and just want to stick with it. I've always been a single player as I don't know anybody else with these games to play multiplayer. So, maybe 15 is the way to go then. Either way I really appreciate the feedback. :)

indeed mate, if you are a fan of the single player mode and you have a PC which can support the next gen graphics then get 15 instead of 14. During the summer sales it cost only 12.49$ which is an amazing deal for this game so any price near that amount is totally fine (don't be stupid like me and pay 30 Euros for it :/ )

All of the pc games, prior to 2k15, were made with this really dated engine and were almost featureless compared to the consoles. They didn't even dare charge much for them. 2k15 was made with the newer engine and came with most of the console features. It's light years ahead of the old ones on Steam. It also came with a higher price since they could finally charge the console price because the game was no longer a bargain bin game on Steam.
You should be able to get 2k15 at a decent price over the next few months, as 2k16 is due out in a couple. You might be better off waiting for 2k16, unless you don't want to spend the money. Now that the new engine is being used, the games probably won't be too different, but at least it allows them to keep up with new features and modes, like they did with the consoles. I would probably get 2k15 cheap now, then 2k16 cheap down the road. 2k15 is only $15 at Newegg and you might even be able to use a coupon from your email and get cashback at some site. I'm sure you will see great prices here and there with them moving on to 16.
So the short version. All versions, on the pc, prior to 2k15 are peasant. They didn't want to use the new engine or give them all the new features that the consoles were getting. So if you haven't tried 2k15, very much worth trying. Way better graphics, more modes, a lot more features, and the feeling that it isn't just some cheap bargain bin game they happened to put out that has the same name as the high-end game they put out on consoles.

Since I have NBA 2K13, are either of these worth moving on to? I played quite a lot of hours on 2K11 for PS3 a couple years back and then upgraded to 2K13. I'm wondering if 14 or 15 have enough upgrades to 13 to be worth while?
