Controller Companion

Just released on steam and its cheap enough that looks interesting.
I think its good for those who prefer to sit on the couch and relax.

Seems like a good idea, but I have done the same thing with Xpadder and though it looks easy. It really is not, because sometimes you are goin' to be so close to clicking something, but your a little off, and you can't move it because of it's dead spot. I would find using this on a couch a cool idea, but more frustating than I would find relaxing.

If you are really looking to use a mouse/keyboard on a couch the Logitech K400 would be your best (and not-so-costly) choice,

Maybe this app do things a little easier to be a worthwhile successor to xpadder.
The K400 is good combo but too much stuff around.

I have the K400r and like it. Far superior to controlling Steam with a gamepad in Big Picture mode alone, and works nicely with all of Windows same as any other keyboard/touchpad.

Bought it for a test drive, the app works flawlessly with xbox360 controller even with my ps4 controller/inputmapper.
Now im too lazy to use my mouse/keyboard.

Looks interesting, and cheaper than Xpadder. I probably won't try it since I already have a Xpadder licence, and I don't need a second tool to do the same thing. Also, I don't know how customisable it is (advanced xpadder designs are a blessing, for example different layouts inside a profile, etc.)

That does appeal to my inner lazy self buuut... typing words using a controller is too damn annoying. I once tried chatting with fwiends in big picture mode, didn't last long. I quickly ditched the controller for my keyboard.

So I don't know... I might try it out at some point. Or not.

Have I seen this before? It seems familiar. Glad it's on Steam now and for such a cheap price too.

Neat for occasional use, but it's not really for me. My PC is permanantly hooked up to my living room tv and I'm typing this on my wireless keyboard from my armchair. I'd go insane if I tried to use that all the time. :P

For people who just want to sometimes be in front of the tv and don't want the clutter of a keyboard lying around it could be good. It's also cheaper than a wireless keyboard although they're not really expensive either at the low end.

Yes you can bind any key you want.

There not profiles, is just mouse/keyboard alternative for general windows use, also has multimedia, run/close steam, minimize windows, set volume and other stuff to bind. You can have 2 binds on each key, one with single press and one with holding down BACK+key.

You could always just connect your pc to a tv and use a wireless mouse on the couch. If you don't do it now, you will soon enough.

Looks nice, but I'll pass. I have wireless keyboard + mouse(and controller), so I don't really need this.

Maybe once steam streaming hardware is released. Atm, If I want to use a mouse in couch gaming, I use dolphinbar + Wii IR Sensor. I also have a keyboard in the living room so no problem typing

It's better than Xpadder and I've been using that for years. Uber satisfied with this, and he will add an AutoProfiler eventually.
Also, you can bind the Guide button.

Also the dev is a really nice guy, and updated the app quickly today, to solve some issues.
