Like seriously, the only meaningful franchise is NBA 2K, and the rest are racing games. I just wish there was more variety and diversity in the genre.

EA Sports holds most of the sports licences.

that explains a lot of the sports games then, especially FIFA and Madden and NCAA stopped being made after NCAA '14. what about MLB 2K, why isn't that on steam? hm.

MLB 2K wasn't ever really that popular (due to it being clearly worse than MLB: The Show, which is a PS exclusive), so they didn't even bother putting it on Steam. The series ended in 2013

Sports games aren't very popular on PC in general, and EA owns most of the popular ones.

Would love to see more on Steam too. I don't have much on Origin, only stuff from the Humble Origin Bundle and a few freebies via the 'on the house' promotion, but I've been tempted a few times to pick up either Madden or FIFA. I'm a big football (soccer) fan, and normally make do with the Football Manger series on Steam.

Edit: "Make do" is unfair - FM is excellent.
