Having had French in school I really should have realised this:
The term chauffeur comes from the French term for stoker because the earliest automobiles, like their railroad and sea vessel counterparts, were steam-powered and required the driver to stoke the engine.Also, you reminded me of this (not quite true) quote:

The technological revolution occurred not coincidentally with the advent of air conditioning. Without it, we would still be swinging from vines and falling into leech-infested ponds instead of pouring over the pictures of a high-school acquaintance from 10 years ago on hand-held computers while on vacation for 1 week on a sandy beach in Mazatlan with gunfire cracking in the distance. Wait...what was I trying to google?

28°C is a very normal temp, except if you live in a mountain area/plateau

Good day everyone, how are you? It's freaking hot where I am. I hate being born in a tropical region sometimes, and the heat makes me think depressing thoughts. Do you ever feel directionless? Like you live your life thinking you know where you want it to lead but then you wonder if that's where you want to go and if you are capable of going there? It's confusing sometime, thinking of my life and my decisions, about how I could have done this and that differently if I was a better person.
Forget that, you know what's awesome? Narwhal. They are the unicorn of the ocean, I didn't even think they were real and my mind was blown when I learned they are indeed real. What is the latest things that blew your mind? I want to listen to other people's stories so I can be distracted from how hot it fucking is.
