Yay!! 11 years after getting a driving licence I finally bought a car last week. Main reason of the delay was me being a bit afraid of traffic and not minding to use public transport. Glad I listened to my fathers advice and got the licence when I was younger though. Have almost 0 experience with any car, and I'm still very excited but not that afraid anymore. Can't believe I've waited that long to do this!

Anyway, I wanted to make a giveaway to celebrate. Unfortunately I had to get a small loan from the bank because the cars are REALLY expensive in my country. So it's a cheap but highly requested game. I know you love it: Bad Rats: the Rats' Revenge

So wish me good luck and bump the thread! Just the thread please. Don't bump my car. I alread bumped it by a mistake. I will post a picture of my cars scratched front bumper later.

Driving can be fun and relaxing. It can also be scary when you are driving home from work at night on snow covered, icy roads with idiots flying passed doing the regular speed limit as though thats a safe thing to do. And then people wonder why you'll see 5+ cars in the ditch driving to work in the morning. The only bad thing about driving are the other people on the road and how unpredictable they can be when it comes to using their indicators and knowing the road rules in general.

Congrats in your car. Someday I will get a car too. Riding a bike is great, but so much dangerous. Crazy drivers everywhere! I fell lucky to have my legs in one piece.

I hate driving. Cars are a lot of expenses: gas, taxes, accidents, parking, fines, maintenance, tyres.... And the time you can save with respect to the public transport is lost when you have to park in the city center... But congrats!

Thanks! Sometimes you need a car and can't find a taxi. Those moments started happening a lot to me. But you're right, you can save a lot of money and time by using public transport. So i'm still coming to work by subway :)

Driving has always been "work" to me. If you are a male under the age of 30, drive extra carefully (follow all speed limits and traffic regulations) because the other people on the road won't be. In any case, I suggest practicing in empty parking lots (lots of lines on the ground) or something similar until you get a good feel for how the car handles.

I was reading the thread just fine when I came across this and now I'm just thinking that you guys bumped your head on the keyboard. No offense to whatever language is that. (which is why I'm posting this here, which language is that?).

I'm 19 and got my car when I was 17 (underage in my country, with no driver license) it was a VW Bora, sweet 2.0 automatic. Scratched it within the first week while trying to park. Now I sold it and own a Chevrolet Celta 1.0 manual, I feel it is so much better to shift manually that I think I will not get an automatic car ever again.

Well, you're the first person I've heard who switched from automatic to manual transmission. It's usually the opposite here. Nobody wants to go back to manual. Maybe it's because of the traffic :)

With manual transmission you gain more control over your car, you choose wheter you want speed or fuel economy. Also, traffic never bothered me. Maybe it's because I'm young. :P

Personally, I have a car, but I live in a city. Due to the price of parking, it's actually cheaper for me to take an Uber to work EVERY day.

Driving a mechanically-unsound car when I was young made me phobic about driving cars, so I went by bicycle alone for ten years before getting a motorscooter. After two more scooters, I now have a motorcycle for the ability to take longer trips. (Wish I still had my scooter. Scooters are more fun and store cargo more easily.) Enjoy the freedom personal motorized transportation brings.

I've been to Turkey only once and this was probably more than 20 years ago. So I cannot quite remember a whole lot. I do know though that driving in the orient is somewhat... hmmm... chaotic. I don't know how it is around your place. But when I was in Egypt I almost only saw quite old and scratched cars. Take care of yourself!

By the way what car is it?
