Ok so i downloaded IM 2 days ago and it worked fine. The cards where droping IM was checking and changed to the next game. Now when i use it, the games stuck at the hours from when i started idling them and the only time cards drop are when i stop idling. Is it supposed to work like that or is something wrong?

Idle master only idles multiple games up to the 2hr limit. In fact, if you try to idle multiple games at once, card drops become painfully slow.

It's possible that you're a "victim" of an exploit that some users have experienced on Steam in the past, including me. Try launching IM, and skip through the games. Do cards drop every time you switch game? If so, congratulations, you're exploiting the system (providing they didn't fix this glitch yet). :P

I believe this is more problem with steam than with idle master.

Sad to see people are still forcing another users to use ASF when they ask for help about Idle Master.

No-ones forcing anyone to do anything. That said IM has been discontinued so you'll only get limited help with any given issue, then you'll likely encounter the same issue again down the line. As such switching to a program that's supported makes sense.

Question: I have a problem with IM, can you help me?
Answer: Use ASF.

This is not a suggestion and many posts here about problem with IM has that type of answer.

ASF is good and many people wants to see it popular and Archi do a good work.
But many people are using a bad way to try to get more users and this can put away them, like a toxic community.

Some time ago an user, I don't remember who, commented something like what's happening in this discussions. Was about:

  • How to fed my cat?
  • Get a dog.

I agree that something like this keep happening in this posts.
It's a rude way to give an advice.

Idle master isn't broken.
At least until now.

For you maybe.

But it did require a bugfix to be released a month ago. Then there's the issues it has every time a new batch of sale cards goes live. I used IM in the past but had so much trouble with it at one point that it just wasn't worth continuing with.

Getting a bugfix is good, if it doesn't break anything.

With that answer You make me to believe that you never build any computer program. Nobody needs to so don't get me wrong.
But this answer is a bit wrong.
Programs have bugs and even ones made by Google.
Humans aren't perfect.

Getting a bugfix is like the program still got some work.
If the bugfix doesn't break anything it's an upgrade.

IM is working for me, not "maybe" working.
And if you look on IM discussions you will see so many people that it's working for too.

I said bugfix as that's how the dev labelled it. In reality IM was actually unusable for a large number of users and would have remained that way without the fix. In fact there are still people reporting the same issue.

It may be rude and it may not be answering the question that was actually asked but there's still no forcing involved.

but there's still no forcing involved.

I disagree.
Maybe we have a different definition for this word.

You can disagree all you like but it doesn't change the facts. Regardless of how rude it may be or whether or not it helps the OP "Use ASF" is still just a suggestion.

Even though IM has been discontinued, there was an update recently

Before anyone gets too excited, this is just a bugfix release that adds no new features. I doubt I'll be adding any new features to the program, but this was an easy bug to fix and it was affecting a lot of users so I decided to do a maintenance release. This doesn't mean the project is less dead, just on life support.

Just for the record , there are few games that seem to refuse to drop cards .

24 Hours did that to me ... idled for hours and no drop

and yeah why are ppl so desperate to force everyone to use ASF

Not sure if you allready figured it out but everything is fine , you will get those cards eventually , just pausing idling sometimes gives you cards faster , i remember getting cards right after shuting off games and thats practically what happens when you pause idling aswell
