I want to buy 2 copies of the Bioshock trilogy, one for a friend and another to give away. However, all 3 Bioshock games appear to be in the Bundle games list.

Does this mean if I buy them all seperately but gift them I still only get like 15% (€8) in 'real CV value', which means I shouldn't gift them?

I think it doesnt matter how did you acquire game. In halfs ,thirds on full . Once it's in bundle it's in bundle even thou you bought it seperately.

That's if i get what you are asking here correctly..

So it is more wisely to keep the other copy for myself and instead gift a non-bundled discounted game?

If your reason for gifting is solely for CV yes, though you should probably just treat it as a bonus.

I gift games for free of course. So if I were to spend a lot on a giveaway, I like getting eventually some sort of reward like CV and experience ;)

If you are after CV - yes. Thou heaviy discounted games are also added to this list and you will also get only 15% of it's value.

Yes, since they are on the list you will only get 15%. Also, Bioshock triple pack is on the list as well.
Now let's assume that triple pack isn't on the list. You could buy and giveaway the triple pack and get full CV even though all the games included are considered bundled. That is cause Trilogy pack is a "game" on its own. Same goes for every game + all DLC and game of the year editions (or whatever they call them).

It just feels weird, you can gift a 10$ game that was discounted for 2$ and make 8$ "profit" because it isn't added to the bundled game list, while if you buy a game for a its full 40$, you might only get 7$ because it was bundled a long time ago.

Just seems to reduce the variety of giveaways, that's all.

True. That system has its flaws. We just have to accept it and move on

not true.
what is the alternative? cv farming and abusing the site...

plus, most GA are for bundle games, if anything it increases the variety

Making a system that (maybe automatically) adds games for only a month or two to the bundle list when they are bundled lr discounted for even 33%, instead of permanent.

With exception for games that were massively discounted (95%), massively given away or otherwise 'abused' in giveaways, of course.

It will be abused. It's not hard to wait a pair of months.

People sat on free keys for over a year then spammed them when Support thought it would be safe to return it to the list.

Now stuff stays on lists.

Yup, but has to be pointed out if TC thinks something can be removed from a list only a while later. Sitting on bundle keys for a few weeks is nothing compared to that, and people still did it.

Given that over 80% of giveaways here are considered bundled, it doesn't seem to stop people. :D

if you're spending $40 on bioshock trilogy, you're an idiot (no offense)
those games are pretty much constantly on sale

I know. It was an example of a game.

you know you need 5 entries in a GA for it to count for your cv?

so, making a GA for a friend is pointless...

Even if the triple pack is not on Bundle list if all games are on bundle you can bet pack will get downgraded with backdating. So even if you did get full CV it will be reset when the pack is downgraded. That said you should definitely buy for self as owners of Bio1 and 2 will get remastered HD free from Devs.
