Really helpful answer, but no! :P It's not the first time this is happening and my mousepad isn't old.

It's really weird, but while I always write about all of the warranties in a file and I keep all the receipts, I can't find anything related to this mousepad. I have some receipts that are kinda illegible now (because that's how Greece is - some types of receipts get illegible kinda fast), but I don't think there's the receipt of this mousepad among them. Quite strange. I don't think it had a good warranty anyway. I bought it from a famous big greek store, but they never know much about warranties until they search in their digital files or something. :P

Please re-read the whole text again and rethink of what you just wrote. :P

If the bump can be flattened with weights - and the bump is visible from the backside - you could try glueing the pad onto a flat surface, a piece of wood e.g. And under this piece of worrd you could glue some cellular rubber so that it can't move on the table.

Yep, it's visible from the backside - it has a concave shape in the backside. Glue it? Hmmm, I'm not sure. I want to move it on the table when I want to change its position. :P Gluing it is the only way? :/

Yeah, I read that. Maybe I misread the last sentence.
Hmmm, wouldn't all these things increase the mousepad's height significantly?

Ok, thank you! I'm gonna try this, as long as the materials aren't more expensive than the mousepad itself. ;P

I'd asl a friend/relative if he has an offcut - or you could look at a local DIY market. Often, they have offcuts. And for the cellular rubber, I'd visit an art supplies shop. I think, it'll cost about 7 or 8 € - when you have to buy everything "new" - without an offcut.

Usually if the mousepad uses bad quality rubber, this is caused by the shifting of the rubber beneath the outer layer. If it's a cheap mousepad you should just buy another one, otherwise it should be covered by the warranty and you can get a replacement.
A good choice is the Kingston Fury mousepad, which is really cheap and durable (but it doesn't have the wrist rest). I bought it over two years ago and it still looks and feels like i just got it out of the box.

I think its price was 15 euros, which isn't that bad, but I don't think that I used it long enough to justify its purchase. And, if I buy the same mousepad again, I'm afraid this will surely happen again.
I can't find anything related to its warranty sadly.
Nah, I prefer having a mousepad with a wrist rest - it's merely a precaution, but I still prefer it this way.

I used to have that mousepad a long time ago but in black. The wrist rest was decent but the pad area was too small for gaming imo. I would just buy a bigger higher quality mouse pad and wrist rest separately. It wouldn't cost that much more.

It's not that small. Maybe if you're playing a Telltale game and you have to drag the mouse a lot for an action scene, then it's small, but not that small for shooter games.
Buy them separately? But the wrist rest will probably be small and not steady.

I played shooter games and thought it was too small. I found myself constantly lifting my hand to move it back towards the middle. Maybe you play on a higher mouse sensitivity than I did. Anyways I have this mousepad which is far superior than Fellowes and is the perfect size for me.
You can search 'wrist rest' on amazon and see what they have (I don't use a wrist rest). The popular ones all look the same size or bigger than the Fellowes and I think all of them have a non-slip rubber base so it remains steady. The Fellowes is ok but buying both separately is much better.

But I don't want a huge mousepad. o.O And I'd prefer if the wrist rest would be stuck with the mousepad, rather than have a separate wrist rest. It may not be moving, but they may not follow the same line (I'm not sure how to explain this in English). xD

Fellowes lists the material of construction as a variety of polyurethane. I don't think there is any way to restore its original dimensions. I'd be surprised if you managed to get it hot enough to damage it unless you really abused it; something like leaving it on the dashboard of a car in the sun might do it. I suspect that the polymer has been damaged by contact with incompatible chemicals, such as alcohol-based cleaners. If that was the issue, when you replace it, just use a damp cloth for cleaning, no solvents.

Nope, I was cleaning it with a wet cloth. I have never dropped anything else on it.
As I said on the guy above (in Greek though), because someone said that the rubber may have shifted, I tried stretching the mousepad really hard for a minute and it certainly looks like that the bump has gotten smaller. I know, it sounds impossible, but I can see it.

Good news: I have a spare mousepad!
Bad news: It's a spare because it also has a bump/fault line in it as well....... The bottom is completely cracked, it's been abused so badly (probably from dropping it over and over in a laptop bag when I travel around).
Sorry I can't offer anything helpful for fixes or suggestions, but have a bump since I can relate!

Kind of similar, yeah. It affects any game, pretty much. Quite annoying. It's kind of almost ripped as it got worse. I can stabilize it a little more with a second mouse pad under it sometimes when I'm using it (because I do like the "grippy" feel of the pad). Doesn't work a lot for my situation, but it does brace it a little better. I can't even describe it properly, but it's more like a fault line where it got folded in half and just kept going back to that shape over and over when not being used or something. Frustrating playing a lot of games and trying to turn it in a way where I can play games using that pad.

Tried that too, but I got angry because I didn't put enough glue and then aborted the whole process because I didn't want it to be still anyway. xD

Heh, that's actually your mousepad or is that a random photo? :P
I always like taking precautions, so when I first saw that mousepad with the wrist rest, I really wanted to buy it. :P I always say: Better safe than sorry. xD Or maybe you know a good mousepad with a wrist rest?

Hello.
My mousepad has a bump (I'm obviously not talking about the gel pad) right in the center - you know, in a convex shape. It's there for quite a long time. I tried flattening it with weights, but no luck so far. And the problem is that, whenever I'm dragging the mouse over the bump, it kinda slows down the mouse, so it makes it really hard to play a shooter game.
I guess (but I'm not sure) that, because the mousepad is made of rubber, high temperatures dilated it?! I don't want to put it in the freezer to find out if I'm correct and this will fix it. :P
So, what do you think is the cause of this problem and how can I fix it?
Thank you in advance!
Check the photo below to see the mousepad that I have.
