…is, honestly, better than I am used to with the event card drops; last year, I crafted over 100 badges before I managed to get at least 1 of each of the 10 cards. Compared to that, this one is downright generous.

So, how is everyone else's card drops so far?

Edit: Oh, yeah forgot one of the reasons I made this thread. This picture is actually the current stock of my card-trading alt. Anyone can just shoot a simple 1:1 request along its way, I have an ASF bot running on it during daytime, accepting any 1:1 same set trades, even those that increase my duplicate amounts. Feel free to complete your badges preparing for the sale.

I can't tell exactly anymore because they've already found a new home but if I remember correctly they were spread out pretty evenly.
Unlike with Boosters where I usually get the same card 2 or 3 times everytime I open one.

Boosters seem to be less ass lately as well. I once got 9 of the same cards from three consecutive boosters. This month, I only manage to shoot past 5 twice. They are risky as hell, but at least not that downright stupid as they used to be.
(Of course they are still far from perfect. Opened 5 boosters for a game with a set of 8 or 9, and still managed to miss two of them entirely.)

Maybe it's just Valves way to tell us to come together and interact and stuff :D
Too bad swapping cards was a huge pain in the ass due to all those reasonable 2for1 traders before ASF+STM came along.

I've crafted 3 badges and got a foil card worth $5.00 from a new anime game, I'm more than happy with my haul! :3

EDIT: Forgot to actually answer the question....yeah every card so far is unique, so doing well!

Probably depends on how often you see friend activity, what kind of people are there (whether they are interested in badge crafting or not), and how many times could you miss the two or three threads on this forum that told about it (sometimes even active threads can disappear from the featured list on the front page pretty fast).
At any rate, yeah, they started dropping 2 or 3 days ago, the usual one week period before the sale starts.

I don't mind if it's just checking the Discovery queue again as long as they don't send us to the Clickr Mines again :D

I was trying to sell some of my normal cards - but the price has gone from below the sell button and checking them all one at a time on the marketplace is a no go :( - been waiting for hours and several restarts, but still not showing up

Yes, the inventory is currently messed up. I had to use some JavaScript console command to be able to crush the cheap and useless backgrounds and emotes I got, as the inventory completely reloaded the entire page, removing all filters whenever I turned anything into gems.

yeah making gems from my emotes was taking so long that I just quit - way to annoying :)

I used the same console command I bet. But with Enhanced Steam's 1 click button not working it's still three clicks to turn one item to gems. :/

I guess it was just Valve filling the quota. The servers actually survived the first day of unlocking the event cards rather well, so they had to royally fuck up something else.

I just dumped all games there where the CV gain would have been lower than the theoretical money I could receive for their cards. Then it just turned into a free-for-all card swapping account in the principle of some people probably would be happy to craft a few cheap badges.

I'm considering doing the same with one of my alts because I have a few maxed out badges with leftover cards that are too cheap to sell. I just have to look into how to exclude that bot from the existing command structure first.

Nah regional prices are sweet for Turkey. Despite the Dayz failure My highest paid game in steam would be around 15$. Otherwise i wouldn't be able to afford them. :/

I crafted around 45 badges when they introduced the sale cards...
Got about 4~5 of each card, 0 of the Card Nr 5 and 9 of the Nr 9... it was weird

My original stock was (from 1-9): 28, 23, 18, 38, 27, 22, 23, 22, 22
Other than the 3's and 4's I think they are rather evenly distributed.

Then I made it completely evenly distributed with the help of the trading bots XD

amount of cards # 1 -9:
6, 1, 6, 7, 2, 2, 7, 5, 3.
plus one foil for card #7 so i basically got that one even 8 times.

well...could be better, could be worse. as usual.

This may be a stupid question, but it accepts offers for cards from multiple games, right? xD Like, for example if I send one offer for a card for game x and for a card for game y and give you a card for game x and a card for game y, it's ok, right? I mean, I don't need to send 2 different offers? xD

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It accepts an offer like that automatically, yes. If you send an offer where you send cards from game A and B, but need cards from game C and D, I need to accept that manually. (And I accept those requests usually, although I may not for these event cards.)

It's Archi's ASF, actually, I just enabled the option that accepts all same-game offers, regardless of the amount of duplicates.

I have twice the amount of cards #3 then the others. Sucks that they are all untradable until tomorrow, since I'm going to sell what's left.

With several of the STM bots being well-stocked with sale cards, it didn't take long to get even amounts of everything... Oh, except for the foil cards, I haven't found any bots stocking those. :(

Probably because the drop rates are atrocious. I crafted 571 badges and only 3 foil drops. It is supposed to be 1%, so I am quite under predictions.

Aha, sorry to hear that... :( Looks like I got 40 foil cards from ~3300 badges, but only 2 full sets. Oh well. :)

Horrendous luck. Out of 22 cards so far, I still have not gotten a "1" or a "6", but I have seven "9"s...

Heh, then I guess it is good that trade bots became a thing in the past years. (Assuming you want to craft the event badge.)
But yeah, that kind of spread reminds me more of the card RNG I used to experience on Steam all the time.

You probably gotten a 1 (it's when you see no carddrop at all, an 1.5 year old bug Valve can't be arsed to fix).

I'm going to assume your bot wont work for non-SGMA people like me, or would it accept a 15-day hold trade?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't mind those. I have 4 such trades waiting for the 15 days to pass right now, actually. I do not use the cards on those bot, so I don't care if it has to wait for a transaction to finish.
