I didn't see any threads on the boards about this but I think it's pretty important. If at least everyone should know about it.

Hopefully, eventually, we can rid Steam of this scum.

P.S. Just to save people some of their idle keystrokes, talking about public figures and/or businesses is not calling out.

Potato Salad

You can't blame devs for accepting the contract and the rules written there. We have a freaking freedom and capitalism - one can ask for whatever he wants, including billions of dollars, and the other one doesn't have to agree on that.

Whether the "network" is good or not is a matter of opinion, but nobody has a voice regarding how big percent they ask for, or how "worthy" it is for dev to agree on their conditions. Everybody can run his own company however he wants, and nobody is stupid enough to not decide for himself.

No, I'm not siding with them, I hate those companies ripping off developers while doing nothing but shady stuff behind. But if there weren't fools agreeing on such terms, there wouldn't be also companies ripping them off. If such thing exists, it means it's profitable for somebody to run it. Personally I appreciate independent websites teaching people that such things exist, but at the same time I have nothing against how they run their bussinesses, as long as it's legal and with agreement of the other side.

Here's the owner of USG writes to Digital Homicide "I have a marketing offer for you and your awesome games! We will greenlight boost your games!"

Yes, you're right, sorry. These groups have very similar description design, got them mixed up (plus it's the same circle of "Gleam" Steam groups).
Still, helping DH getting their products on Steam for money...

The hilarious part is, if Digital Homicide had any money, they wouldn't be desperately throwing every asset they have in bundles for pennies, or giving away thousands of free copies hoping to make a few cents on the cards.

I've actually been following the Jim Sterling lawsuit. So far, the judge has thrown out several of Romine's document submissions due to not using the right form or following proper procedure. Every time he does that, there's a filing fee racked up on whatever incorrect form he submitted, plus a second one when he submits the correct form. And those fees aren't cheap. I imagine they've realized that they're in way over their heads on this one and their company is likely to be bankrupt before the case even gets heard in court.

I know there's more than him doing it but still.

You know USG and REX are partners right? They've done several giveaways with both their brandings on the page -- first time I saw it I took it as the sign of the apocalypse.

yeh ,the similarities are there if u look at a lot of the stuff they put out..

I noticed Royalgamer doing something with Rex on Reddit , think it was a free game with one of the click links going to the revolt steam group.
On the Reddit thread he said they're both Dutch .
