What's the first video game you ever played?

Oh boy. The earliest could be super mario bros. It was in a pirate cart so it had other games in it too. I also remember a tanks game where you could your own map. I would always put medal boxes to protect the eagle :p
My controller was actually a keyboard that only certain keys would work and the screen was one of those old computer screens that is all green. After playing mario for a while I would see everything in green.

The first game I ever played was Heretic (My father's computer).

But the one that really got me into games was Tzar: The Burden of the Crown.

Probably one of the early Mario games that the neighbor kid owned. Can't really remember more than that, I wasn't into video games as a kid and thought it was dull way to spend time. :p

this was my 1st game. in english it is called something like "The Wolf and the egg". There was a legend: if you gather a great amount of eggs the game will show you a secret series of popular russian cartoon "Nu Pogodi!".
the second one is something like "mysteries of the ocean"

I think it was something on the vectrex but I can't remember the game, very likely something with space ships.

ELITE on the C64

It blew my mind.

Also Mission Elevator (took me months to reach the top floor)
and Ghost 'n Goblins (harder than Dark Souls I tell ya)

Something on the VIC20. Not sure it had a name, I had to enter the program by myself line by line from the back of a computer magazine and then I saved it to my tapedrive so I could play it again.

Very very first game ever played was Shadow Of The Ninja for NES. Will never forget, the opening and the music will forever be in my head

It was something on the atari 2600...honestly dont remember the names of the games. I do remember my first NES title though other than SMB, Dragon Warrior...loved that game.

COMBAT! It came with the Atari 2600 when you bought it new.

Super Mario Bros from the NES. I also played this Duck shooting game with this pistol controller. Good old times.

The first game I owned was Rambo First Blood on the Spectrum +3.

One of my pet peeves is when kids these days complain about graphics in games. I was in a Game shop just after GTA4 came out, and overheard some kid saying to his friend that he didn't play GTA 3 or Vice City because the graphics were so ugly and having spent so much of my childhood having to put up with actual terrible graphics....

I know it's all relative, but still. GTA 3 does not have bad graphics, by any stretch.

I don't remember exactly the first one, but three: Duke Nukem 3D, Worms Armageddon and Donkey Kong Country on the SNES

It was either Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt on the NES my cousin gave me, or Wolfenstein 3D on my uncle's computer.
