Here And yes I know the bundle itself isn't new but now it ALSO comes with XCOM: Enemy Unknown, so that's Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and either Spec Ops: The Line , Civilization V, BioShock 2, Mafia II or The Darkness II. I'm not sure if I wanna get this though, whilst it seems awesome, I feel like it would just go into my backlog of things to play in the future, and by then I reckon there'll be a better deal around anyway, this one costs £23.99

Hmm yes I believe GMG do that with pre-orders, not 100% sure if they're doing it for this one too though, I hope they do for anyone that buys it

This is getting scary though, those are all good games but does infinite really need so many incentives to guarantee a purchase?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think it's just a combination of companies trying to compete for preorder sales AND everything that has happened with the SimsCity and Alien: colonial marines preorder issues.
People are cautious about preordering now.

Maybe epic if you live overseas.

Amazon's deal includes a $30 credit which will net you any of those games launch day or more than one if there's a 2k sale in the next 12 months.

Oh man that does seem better. Bioshock 1 + (Any of those games) alone will be less than $30 during a sale.

The coupon does not work with those.

Adding Xcom: Enemy Unknown forced my hand and I couldn't help preordering it for my friends birthday.
£23.99 for four games is pretty awesome but I also got the season pass which you CAN use the 20% off voucher code on and it brings it down to £12.80.

i never had much interest in playing the games that are on offer other than infinite maybe, but cos of the price i am compelled to buy damn you marketing

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Exactly, dat marketing...like, I already have Bioshock 1, haven't even tried it yet, and now this...4 games for such a low price, I just want to throw my money at it but I'm not sure if I should

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Wait, if you haven't played the previous Bioshocks, why are you so interested in this one? And why do you think that $40+ is a "low price"?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Marketing, when I see a good deal I feel to throw my money at it, also, friends are recommending that I play Bioshock, and £23.99 for 4 games is darn good. However, I don't intend to get this atm as I have too many other things to play first.

Wait, implying BioShock Infinite is anything like the other BioShocks?

Already own every game from that bundle except for Infinite. I shall be able to resist buying this and just wait for the game to go on sale in a few months.

There will definitely be better deals in the future, so this is only for people that REALLY want to play Bioshock Infinite. And even for them, it would be wise to first take a look through their backlog, maybe it contains enough games they'd love to play to last them until BI goes on sale for <$10.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I don't think this is just for people who REALLY want to play it. The reason these deals exist is because of Steam and the need to compete for pre-orders. Granted, it's not often we see a pre-order go so cheap, but I'm willing to bet the retail price returns after this "pre-order hype" is over. Then it will be 3 months at least, until we might see a dent in the price.

£23.99 for 1 AAA pre-order and 3 additional AAA games? Even if you're only remotely interested in the games, that sounds good.

GMG: Spec Ops: The Line , Civilization V, BioShock 2, Mafia II or The Darkness II.
Steam: some tf2 items.

Great competition between these two!

To be fair the tf2 items will be worth quite a bit in a while.

Really? I'm not into TF2 and don't know anything about how much these items are worth.

Is a great deal. But Amazon's is even better: Bioshock Infinite + X-Com UE + 30$ to spend in 2k games. So you'll probably be able to buy all 2k games of the promo of GMG with those 30 bucks (during sales, of course).

1 decade ago
Permalink

but amazon's is 60$ and gmg 45$ (at least here). Both great deals, i would go with gmg on this one.

Gamersgate has the same deal as GMG, except it costs £6 more and gives you £9 in store credit. Not just 2K credit, but anything in the GG store. So... kinda £3 cheaper. Kinda.

1 decade ago

It gives you less options though I believe, I looked at it, and there are more games to choose from as your 4th game on GMG

I don't know your crazy British currency, but it at GamersGate it costs the same for me, and gave me ~$21 in-store credit, and was not restricted from being used on the $20 Season Pass.

I'm sticking with my steam pre-order, I did it before steam was offering anything extra and I'm still happy with it cause I don't mind supporting the company (valve) that brings us steam and all of the awesome it is.

Well okay, but you are thereby paying more and getting less :P then again, what do I care, I don't work for GMG or Valve so it's all up to you

Hey, anyone who buyed this from gmg!
When i want to register my Infinite key on Steam it says Invalid key! I can activate this only after the game released?

1 decade ago
Permalink

For Borderlands 2, they didn't give the code until after the game was released. If they gave you a code already, it's probably something different.

From GMG page, small print:

Also when you pre-purchase from GMG you get the Industrial Revolution bonus - this key is sent immediately after purchase. Keys for Bioshock Infinite will be distributed in time for the release date.
