The Ship Pack gift region-restriction question.

So basically I had a copy of The Ship in my inventory and this is the error that the recipient gets:
"Sorry, an error has occurred:
This item cannot be added to your library because it is restricted from your country."

It doesn't have any restrictions explicitly written on it either, so I don't know what the issue is. Google wasn't of help either.

idk, i thought VAC protected games weren't supposed to be traded or even in inventory.. that might be apart of the issue.

edit: especially if the recipient has a VAC ban already on their account, i would deff. imagine it would trigger an error (possibly just the wrong error being triggered).

Did you bought it? Activating an original The Ship gives two activable double-pack gifts, and if I remember correctly from similar games (like Frozen Synapse/Prime) these secondary copies are locked to the region the original was activated in. If you have the very first copy, then I don't really know what could be the problem :|

Oh, you're probably right. I reside in Estonia while the recipient resides in the UK. Or in Ireland, depends on which one she's marked it as. Thanks!

So now your The Ship copy can be activated only in Estonia or in whole Eastern Europe region?
