There has been plenty of known cases of people getting suspended over auto-joiners. Everyone's favourite mascot of SG, who's name beings with a K is one example.

If you're joining giveaways very rapidly, that's one way to detect it.

Well, if a person joins a lot of GA's in an impossibly short time that's usually a good indicator.

the known case in the past which resulted in hundreds of users receiving warning 24h access ban was determined on timing - these people were found to enter tens of GAs in the matter of fractions of seconds. No matter how fast PC or internet connection you have it would not be neither humanly posisble to enter this fast or to even load pages this fast.

Another way to find out is by looking for patterns in logs. If you for example request access to SG every 15 minutes for 24h or 48h, like you were not sleeping at all and just staying awake all this time sniping for flash GAs for days straight it's pretty obvious it is not you yourself sitting 48h on Sg without a single sleep or break ;p

This is stupid. I'm not too sure why it's bannable because its not like you're changing the outcome of the draw.....

well - after being only a member for one day, it is perhaps understandable why you don't know - perhaps read the FAQ (see the help tab at the top of the page) - and get a few opinions etc.. also please note the link below in which a mod clearly says that CG does not welcome there use - as such, it is their site, so their rules :P (irrespective of whether we think it's stupid or not)

robbing a bank isn't actually robbing any one individual of their money since it is insured.. but it's still illegal.

because you get unfair advantage over other users. Normal live user can only spend limited time on SG, when you are afk, in work/school, sleeping etc you are not on SG, you are not entering stuff, thus these times people who are onluine on them have higher chances to win, because people who are sleeping are not entering. Bot will be awake and entering 24/7, thus it will have much higher chance to win than any normal fair user.

You're getting more entries than normal users since you can just leave it running and enter 24/7.
