What a fun topic. Well, one I feel like is forever burnt into my memory - Floaters from Fallout 2. Prince of Persia's(The first one because it's the only one I've played) enemies are pretty horrifying. Area 51 had those horrifying bug-like things that exploded on contact. Seriously, fuck those things.

It'd be very uh... EXPLOSIVE.
To be fair, you would die instantly so it's not like it would matter.
P.S. To answer your question : No.

Getting handcuffed and having your pants stolen, then getting force feed a rotten banana.

Actually now you mention it, that isn't so bad by DayZ standards.

+1. Sounds fun and sh*t while playing, but after reading World War Z... no ty. (Also I read a fantasy where skeletons appeared. Not the easy to kill ones - the ones that has no organs, you can't hurt them with arrows or stabs, and you can smash their bones, they'll still come at you relentlessly... realising they are the weakest from ANY fantasy themed games... any 'realistic' undead would be incredibly terrifying)

AM has selected you.
(from "I have no mouth and I must scream", AM is a supercomputer that selects 5 people to torture for over a hundred years, while having destroyed the rest of the world. Being killed seems like the better option in that scenario.)

"Feel the wrath of Shao Kahn" - been playing Mortal Kombat 9 recently, and still get brutally murdered by that guy even on easier difficulties way too often :/
"Nuclear launch detected" from Starcraft would also be rather unpleasant, given that you only hear it when you're on the receiving end.

Gone Home. It would be like purgatory, except everything would be overpriced and all you could do is walk around and read about terribly written teenage lesbian angst. :^)

There are some pretty crazy scenarios and realities in games. Currently playing the Bioshock series for the first time and met Mister Bubbles. I'm pretty sure there was an audible "Oh dear god." To be fair, everything about Rapture makes me nervous.
So, the point being:
What is one phrase, that if you heard in real life, would cause absolute dread?
Mine have to would be "Assuming Control" because I was either about to be turned into human dna paste or blasted with a particle gun. Neither which are high up on my bucket list.
