I don't have a good feeling about Borderlands 3. Gearbox has had a spotty record with crap like Aliens Colonial Marines, Duke Nukem Forever, and Battleborn. I hope it's good since I really liked BL2 but it feels like Gearbox have really gone downhill.

Some things couldn't be helped in those cases, but as far as the borderlands series, some decay was seen with parts of 2 and PS and given the gap since then, can't say it's promising.
ACM was sincerely them half-assing things/using money for other things, DNF was just them finishing up what was there (real blame would lie on 3d realms), and Battleborn was just unlucky enough to have Blizzard do something similar.

I liked Borderlands, loved Borderlands 2, but it does seem like it has been downhill from there.
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel seemed decidedly less fun the previous games. I played through the first two games repeatedly, but lost interest and never finished Pre-Sequel.
Battleborn was really disappointing. Boring missions, terrible combat feedback and feel, uninteresting loot, and the humour started at unfunny and regressed from there as you heard the same lame lines over and over again.
Still, I remain hopeful.

If you want to replay BL2, you can push through the story line in about 17 hours, give or take. I replayed it in these couple of days with a friend.

It will be, don't worry. Fortnite is still rolling in the dough. Tim Sweeney is still Tim Sweeney. And Randy Pitchford, well... The whole thing is just a match made in hell. I've already made peace with the fact that I'm not going to be playing Borderlands 3, cause according to some hardcore gamers, I'm too much of a lazy casual to do a few extra clicks for EGS.
