Eh. The Revenant was pretty good and I know a lot of work went into making it, but it didn't demand much of Dicaprio as an actor. He mostly just grunts and groans. If anyone in that film deserved an Oscar, it was Hardy.
Also, Fury Road deserved to win everything.

Not really... the film is horrible. If he would have gotten it for let's say The Great Gatsby fine but The Revenant is a 3 hour nap that doesn't know what it's trying to be.

Yeah, i think they had too much pressure from somewhere for this poor Leonardo. He deserved the Oscar for a lot of other films like The Wolf Of Wall Street, Catch Me If You Can or Shutter Island.
I didn't see The Revenant yet so i cannot say anything about, i will watch it soon. :D

It wants to be nothing more than a rule abiding revenge flick with some gore and guts and it accomplishes that. Is it overhyped though?
