Onions? You eat raw onions?
Can't really judge you too much, but really?

Why not? Pickled onions are the best thing ever!

Depends what you mean by raw - simply biting into a cleaned onion and crying on it, or prepare it without it being cooked. :P

Well sometimes, when you can't see right, an onion kinda looks like an apple so it's forgivable :P

Ah, pickled! I 100% though you were chomping into raw onions on purpose like apples. Ha ha.
If that's what you meant, well ok, that's up to you. But I imagine a lot of crying.

After years in the kitchen I pretty much developed an immunity to the mighty onion's defenses so I wouldn't cry much but I assume my ladyfriend would be less than grateful so there might still be some crying (for forgiveness :P)

This reminds me of when I told my students that I only ate some forms of rice, and we joked about me being "riceist".

I was going to reply "green lives matter" but I'm afraid to do so now that I saw that you're suspended, hopefully it wasn't because of that comment..

It wasn't. I committed the unforgivable offense of "revealing" the games behind a Jigidi (and no I don't mean the url, just the name) Shame on me.
Now I'm going to enter some GAs before I get suspended for making a joke.

wat. without even "please, delete your comment, don't stop people from wasting their time" ?

Nope. Iit was my own fault I guess. I read the rules when I joined and I've been abiding but I never saw that one. I would never reveal or share the urls of GAs hidden behind a puzzle but I assumed sharing the names of the games was ok. My bad.

for me suspending is too much, but it depends on the creator, I guess

it seemed harsh to me too considering it wasn't even a big even, just a couple of Jigis so it's not like I gave up some massive secret after the creator spent days on the puzzle but it's not for me to say and you can bet that the next time I feel like helping someone out on the board, I'll check the rules twice to make sure I don't get myself in trouble over something like that.

Ah damn, yeah that's always a tricky situation because I think puzzle creators decide on whether to reveal the game or not and can ask support to punish rule breakers, but I'd 100% prefer knowing the game behind the puzzle.

yeah it was stupid of me. Since it was just a couple of Jigis and pretty nice games, I thought I was helping out everybody, including the puzzle creator but I won't make that mistake again. No more helping :P

How do you all feel about broccolini and other cousins of broccoli? I enjoy all brassica vegetables.

I'm a vegetablist, I love broccoli and cauliflower equally. I love them raw, but my mom makes this amazing addictive broccoli casserole. It's sooooo good. It's just cream of mushroom soup, lots of cheese, egg, and lots of broccoli. <3

Always loved broccoli, even as a kid. I mean, if you haven't spent your childhood planting broccoli "trees" in your mashed potatoes, then pretend to be a monster who eats trees, you've missed out.

Should I add that we basically never had mashed potatoes at home? Surely it wasn't easy for my mother bringing us up alone, but she weirdly skipped over some pretty simple and good dishes, I think she was not really into potatoes.

What a strange coincidence that this thread appeared shortly before the passing of a well known broccoli-disliker:

Broccoli can be good in some forms. Broccoli casseroles, and some soups and also of course with cheese.

Also great on its own in fresh form with some parmesan cheese on top, and maybe a touch of dressing (italian or ranch both are good choices).

Even just grinding it down with my smoothie/super-foods blends it can taste really yummy!

Cauliflower can make a good potato substitute (swap mashed taters w/ a little bit of cauliflower, and it's hard to tell apart). I've tricked many a person that hated cauliflower... hehe.

Great in paleo diets also - good pizza crusts w/ some other ingredients!

Also of note broccoli sprouts contain a powerful antioxidant known as sulforaphane and glucophanin/erucin for instance - just to name a few.. Hard to get bioavailable forms in cooked or even beyond sprouted variety. Must do it at home, or you lost most of these constituents.
