That's not at all the same. Valve said that Steam OS will be open-source and that the hardware will be created by various other companies.

From that standpoint they'll make their own apps that will allow you to play Xbox and PlayStation games on Steam Station.

Not really necessary since 90% of xbox-ps3 games end up on pc eventually.

Unfortunately the ones I personally eager to play are all PS3 exclusives. But that's beside the point, I was actually trying to convey a reference to some companies practice in Atari 2600 days.

Not really. They're only making SteamOS and the 300 prototype systems(possibly with an official VALVe SteamBox). It's other companies that will make the SteamBox systems for them. Kind of like how Android blew up on the market with lots of companies making Android devices. That's what VALVe is hoping for.

You can edit your shipping information after entering it. I would assume that if you deleted the info, you'd no longer eligible.

I bet the last announcement is this -> Screen goes black, a 3 appears on the screen (in orange font), then an L appears before the 3... as in "L3", suddenly HL fans start to wet themselves and the L3 move apart only to reveal "4D"....L4D3

Then gabe appears with a trollface, everyone loses their minds.

:/ 270 out of a million chances is hard. I wish the more games you own the better chances you have since it increases that chance that you own at least 1 of the game that is being natively supported in linux
