Crytography fell into disuse ever since people learned about xlate. It was plagued with far too many esoteric encryption techniques after people realized that they could not rely on binary, hex, base64 and dec encoding. You know something is wrong when you have to bruteforce through encryption schemes on this website as in this puzzle. There have been attempts to revive this tradition, such as with alamarjan's Quick Fix series of puzzles, but this outdated puzzle methodology declined quickly and never regained its' following.

Rules:
I can't believe I actually have to make this section, but apparently there are people who don't know the rules. Do not share answers, hints, giveaway links, the name of the giveaway or generally spoil the puzzle in any form.
Added incentive: If you solve at least half (15) of the puzzles, you will get an invite to a private giveaway at the end of July. Post in the giveaways as proof. I'll try to pick something that no one has already, but no guarantees.

Edit x2: You are not required to solve the puzzles before the giveaways end anymore. Solving them at any point in time will count towards the 15 required puzzles.
Solution:
Binary -> Rot 13 -> Welsh
After translating:
The first letter is the letter n
The second letter represents either a vowel or consonant in English
The third letter is the last letter in the basic Latin alphabet
The next letter is half of w, but not v
The fifth letter goes after g
The easiest way to solve this puzzle was to google the phrase you got after translating from binary. That lead you to this thread, which gave the exact method to solve. Coincidentally, this was the one of the first puzzles I solved, and also had my first win.
