Adverts taking over site?

ad-block so no idea, before i would let ads on steam gift thro but i started getting malicious ones and just went back 2 blocking everything

I didn't even think about this issue.. I use only my PCs and laptops to browse Internet and so on, and I've got an ad-block.. which of course when the website needs ADs to keep them running and online, I turn it off for that particular website..
this is the first time in a year that I'm thinking about ADs on steamgifts! I don't know..

Mobile? I'm using PC with no adblock and I don't have this issue.

Malicious Ad's and cryptominers = adblock activated ...
End of story

So no knowledge at my side if something have changed

so what's a good ad block then?

I don't use UBlock Origin on this site. But whenever I see these ads, the UBlock will be turned on for this site until cg himself says that these ads won't be an issue.

I can't chip in on Patreon, but I don't think it should have to just to not have insanely intrusive ads.

Chrome 70.0 on Android allows the ad on the left side and while It's not huge sometimes there's videos. I haven't seen those huge ads yet.

I mean, I'm ok with It since we keep the server alive.

I block all advertisements using one weird trick.

Steamgifts hates this!

On mobile I've also had ads here hijack Google Chrome and redirect it to another site from time to time. Time to switch to Firefox w/ an adblocker.

I can't see myself visiting 90% of the sites I view on a daily basis without ad-block to save the day... :)
