Basically, it's a game dev jam for their employees. Everyone who donates now gets to vote on which of these games will have prototypes created for them, and the top three will have prototypes coded over the following two weeks. After that, if you gave at least $1, you get Steam keys for the prototypes. (You do not get the completed game, if/when it's done. Keep in mind the prototypes will be very quick-and-dirty things made over the course of two weeks.)

No. The money isn't really going to fund the development of these prototypes (although I'm sure it'll help them justify taking 2 weeks off from working on real projects) and there's no guarantee any of these games will ever come out as full version.

True! What you'll get by paying money to this of course the prototypes, and a chance to help pick which prototype that will get made

You'll also get an exclusive insight in how "bigger indie-developers" work, how they create ideas and how much the team is able to do in just a few weeks time.

You won't get the finished products (if the game ever makes it out of the prototype stage.

From the last public amnesia fortnight Hack n Slash and Spacebase DF-9 will be made into full games due to the reception of the prototypes.

Autonomous was also worked on after the prototype and released as a free "expanded version" for the leap-controller. This one was probably just DF playing around with the Leap-controller but they still did work on that prototype after the "amnesia".

So 3 out of 5 games from the last public amnesia have been worked on (and been or will be released this year, if everything goes according to plan) Black lake and the white birch being the two currently not being worked on (at least not announced). I would personally love to see both of them being worked on or at least used as a foundation to a new concepts, cause they were both kind of interesting.

Yes, that one looks cool. I will give one of my votes to that. My second vote (in no order) will go to Andrew Wood's project. I actually choose that one by just seeing his name and before taking a look at the pitch. I normally like his vision and ways of working!

One more vote for me, that will be hard. Many interesting concepts. I wished we could vote for more than three prototypes! :)

Gave my vote on Steed, Ether and Dear Leader, hopefully one of 'em will make it in the next stage. :)

IMO that's some excellent choices!
My first two choices are Dear Leader and Ether. Not yet sure on the third one, but Steed is on my list of concept that I might end up voting for.

Here's my list of games that might make my final cut (apart from the two choices I've made). Many interesting concepts to choose from!:
Humans: A study guide
Gone Astray
what could go wrong
Breach
Steed
Derelict
Reentry
Eras of Adventure
Parabolic
Buried Metropolis
Fathomless
Timagotchi

I'd say Dear Leader is a shoo-in -- much like DF-9 last year, it has the advantage of heavily resembling a recent popular game with a cult following, and it's also a type of game that you don't see too often (I can think of a few similar games, thematically -- Hidden Agenda, Tropico, etc -- but not many.)

Most of the others look like they could be good if done well, but of course that's always the catch.

Well, Steed was the #1 no brainer for me, the fight for the 2nd and 3rd vote were a lot closer, Gone astray fought well but ultimately slipped off to the imaginery 4th position hehe:p

And I can agree with your previous post about Andrew Wood, his prototype was my personal favorite in the last round :)

Did the change the increase payment system?

I bought non-bta for $1 when the BTA was around $5.5. I am now thinking about increasing my payment to beat the BTA to get the pendleton-prototype. You can normally do this by going to the bundle page and clicking on "Click here to increase your order amount". When I did this earlier (for other bundles) it would say something like "Your order must be $X at minimum to get the BTA-content". And $X was the price of the BTA from the time when you actually bought the bundle.

But this text is no longer shown for me? Is it shown for somebody else?

I don't know the exact price of the BTA when I bought it. Or do I have to beat the CURRENT BTA now?

Afaik you should aim for the current BTA.
