Just what the title says, I can't get any audio to play through Stereo Mix, I've tried changing the properties/levels/preferences/default settings, and it just won't work. I also changed the jack for my headset (Logitech G35, connected via USB.) I connected it straight to my sound card, and even that didn't fix it. Nothing seems to work. Any of you guys got any suggestions for fixing this? I'm using Windows 7, if that helps. I did enable it through audio settings, but it still won't detect anything. Cheers. EDIT: Whoever finds the fix for me will receive Bad Rats. EDIT 2: I can't freaking format this text.

Maybe Logitech G35 might be using it's own audio driver? I know some headsets uses it's own driver when connected in USB.

Never heard of a sound card having a USB output (unless external). Maybe some details what sound card it is?

G35 has it's own driver, or the surround and microphone features won't work properly. And by plugging the headset straight into my sound card I meant the back panel, haha. And the sound card should be Realtek High Definition Audio. That's what I could figure. You think the headset's drivers are messing with it?

ok 1st question, why do you need stereo mix?

Anyways, I have experience dealing with realtek driver, and I'm confused with the "plugging straight in your sound card", If you're plugging it in the USB slot, then you ARE NOT USING REALTEK DRIVER, you are using the G35 driver. If you want sound to be heard in your headset, you must first go to the control panel >> sound

Go to playback tab and set the LOGITECH G35 driver as default device. You can do this by right clicking on the device and choose "Set as default device". Realtek audio driver should be your default audio device if you just got your headphone

Well, why does anyone need stereo mix? couldn't tell you really, I just want to have it. (And to micspam, hehe.)
G35 can only be connected via USB, so there's that. I do know how to use my headset, but I can't get stereo mix to work no matter what.

Steps:

1) Buy Virtual Audio Cable, buy it for free
2) Install it
3) Make it as your default device
4) Open 1 instance of Audio repeater (KS) and one instance of Audio repeater (MME)
5) STOP ALL AUDIO (IMPORTANT)
5) (Set on Audio repeater KS) Wave in: virtual cable 1, wave out: realtek HD audio output, click start
6) (Set on audio repeater MME) Wave in: Line 1, wave out: your Logitech G35, click start

Now your stereo mix should work now.

Caveat: You can't make audio instantaneous, it will always has a delay due to buffers, If you try to set it too low, you will hear crackling sounds. Try upping the priority if you need to

Sometimes my stereo mix gets disabled when I have my earphones or something plugged in. By that I mean it doesn't get any sound.

Didn't help me, that's what every other video about the problem tells me to do. Sadface. But thanks for trying!

Try re downloading the driver. If not on the latest driver, update it.

Are you talking about my G35 driver, or the sound card's driver? I have tried re-installing G35's, no good. And I always keep them up to date.

A. Is this a new thing? (i.e. it worked before and now it doesn't)

B. Have you tried the headset on another audio source to verify the headset works and the volume isn't turned all the way down?

It never worked, sadly.
The headset works fine, and the audio is usually very loud, and I have to keep it at about 15-20% of the max power. (I did try turning it all the way up, still nothing.

with the g35 plugged in go to start menu>Control Panel>System and Security and under "System" and click "device manager".

Are there any icons with triangles next to them indicating they aren't working?

No triangles to be seen there, I'm afraid.

My headset works fine, stereo mix doesn't. I tried changing the audio outputs as well, to the audio card and monitor. Didn't help.
