From what I've been observing they use it to further spread their method of acquiring accounts around via chat, which is pretty weird if that's just it.They could steal the wallet money/inventory items too but haven't seen anyone with their account stolen reporting that..

They are usually hunting for items and selling stolen keys for paypal funds.

I think you are pretty fucking stupid :) , I did not clicked any shit, but I have a suspicion this keylloger I think has come from The WarZ forums because I recently bought the game and I stayed on the forum some time. If you want to bitch around go and fuck yourself.

Yup, the keylogger saw you on the forum and just hoped on you. I know you might be disappointing in your recent purchase, but there's no need to blame everything on it.

Or maybe there's a keylogger in F words, so you got it by abusing the F word.

By the way, I don't think you can get a keylogger by clicking shit, you'll just get stinky fingers at best.

You are the dumbest man I've seen on the world.
You can't get a keylogger just from navigating on a forum...
Only tho you downloaded something.
Never run again "Every Steam game for free.exe" from a survey you've completed.

Actually yes, it can happen. Your computer can be compromised by simply visiting a website.
I wont go into details since you can easily google that information, if you're interested.

However having the proper browser settings, a solid anti virus suite and a decent amount of sanity in terms of avoiding fishy websites will help you stay out of trouble.
Been browsing the Internet since the late 90s and never had trouble with viruses.

But that's just a general answer. I really doubt he go a virus from that War Z forum/website.

Uh, yeah. No. In certain circumstances, you can get malware without downloading anything.
See [Link] and [Link]

Don't know if the forum they visited has ads, but if it does there is a small chance that one of them could be malicious.

Just figured I'd clarify that for everyone. You need to do more to protect yourself than watching what you download.

Just out of curiosity do you use Enhanced Steam? I got a warning with the last update that it wanted to access my chrome files and since then I've seen two of these threads. Might be purely coincidental but you never know.

Well, if it was a hacker it would be easy for him. He found your password somehow. You should change your password to a password that contains symbols i heared it's harder for them to find it. But maybe it was someone that knew your password and sneak in ...

Speaking as someone that deals with hacks, compromises and general security on a daily basis - the complexity of the password is rarely the issue (unless it's "password").
