My little sister wants to register with her own Steam but I don't wanna be banned since I don't know if that counts as multiple accounts.

My sister and I both have one. You are two individuals with one account each. That rule applies to one person using multiple email addresses to open accounts in order to get more entries.

actually, you can use the same email and phone numbers. you just need to be 2 people.
and yes, steam don't care as long as you don't abuse the system

based on the listed rules, the only thing that would prevent your sister from registering is if her steam account isn't valued over the $100 minimum

be sure you read the faq and know the rules though. me n older brother signed up, and he got... not banned? haven't looked at his SG in months but last time it was due to him winning games and gave it to a friend. which we learned the hard way you do not do that. :D

and sides you've been here 3 years wow. you probably know all the do nots by now. your sister is in good hands.

Just be sure to notify her on how to get Steamgifts premium so she have a bigger chance of winning games.

me and my wife both have accounts on the same IP, i even log into her account from my pc from time to time to add games to her account...no problems thus far:) pretty sure you would only get into trouble for multiple accounts is if you were using one for scamming people and redeeming stolen games on the other or something along those lines, keep both accounts in good standing and you should be fine.

Uh oh, I'd inform staff about this if I were you, because

pretty sure you would only get into trouble for multiple accounts is if you were using one for scamming people and redeeming stolen games on the other or something along those lines

this assumption of yours is not true. You have multiple accounts on this site? Permaban. No matter what you are doing with them (like only winning and gifting games). Scroll down on this page for information about punishments on all possible infractions.

Oh, nevermind, OP is asking about Steam, not Steamgifts...

It's perfectly fine for Steam to have as many accounts as you want.

Uhm, no, he is asking about steamgifts :P

Can siblings in same house have their own SteamGifts account?

Oh, right, overlooked the headline.

Then everything I wrote becomes valid again.

Thanks for pointing out, Budgie.

So, I noticed everyone had a different answer, and I wondered "Hey, why does no one simply copy/paste the relevant part of the FAQ/ToS? I'll do that!".

Then, I checked but I couldn't actually find anything about multiple accounts on same IP, anywhere. I suppose they are allowed...? :V

From guidelines: Users are limited to one account per person, and accounts should not be shared.
Also, if you scroll down on the roles page there is this: Using Multiple Accounts Permanent

Well, I suppose this means that it's ok as long as you have 1 account per person... nothing specific about connecting from the same IP.

I told my sister of steamgifts when she was living in my house and sharing my IP. We didn't have any problem. I guess, nowadays she goes online from different IP adresses (from university and the like), but at times she still spends time in my house and uses steamgifts from my IP. We never had any problem with it, neither with steam nor with steamgifts.
