All these DLC are completely free if you own the game anyway. Why would you even want free (forever free mind you) DLC when you don't own the game. You can always just grab them if you ever decide to get the base game anyway?

They are free, but they never showed up on steam for me to download. Not on the main page or dlc management. After clicking on these links and doing the install. They now show up on the steam store page and in my dlc management.

So for what ever that is worth. This thread has been very useful for me.

Found some more free DLC. You might have these already. Despite being Warhammer II DLC, the "II" is missing in the name at the licenses page. (EDIT: The corresponding subs activate the DLC for Warhammer and Warhammer II. The DLC is only listed at the store page of the first game.)

Those were the DLC's given through the Total War Access to the people that linked their steam account with it.

There as another one that i don't see in any of the lists: The 30th Anniversary Regiments (Regiments of Renown). - https://steamdb.info/app/635350/

P.S.: those were never available directly on Steam. You had to log into your Total War Access account, add them from there by logging into Steam. Kind of like you do with some freebies from the Amplitude (the Endless series)

P.P.S.: there are a few others: Glade Captain, Catchweb Spidershrine, Gotrek & Felix, Ogre Mercs and Great Bray Shaman. Too lazy to add the links too those.

From what pizzahut listed, i can't see any of them anymore on Total War Access. They might have been given for a limited time.

Thanks, I logged into Total War Access and was able to redeem Regiments of Renown, Glade Captain, Catchweb Spidershrine, and Gotrek & Felix. I recently got Total War: WARHAMMER II from Intel's Play Pass Season 2. Had to link my Steam account to Total Access to redeem. I'd already gotten the others through SteamDB so Total War Access said "already purchased" when I tried those.

The thing is. These dlc are free, but they are not listed on steam anymore. So, a lot of players who have Total Warhammer II, don't know they exist. Like me. So this is a very nice thing to run into. Very helpful actually.

That's cool. Wish they were for me. After the first one. I double checked the store page and dlc manager. They did not show up for me. Not sure why, so still grateful for this thread. :D

Actually far from pointless. To you maybe, but to me. This was very useful as these DLC are not listed on steam anymore. I don't just go surfing around SteamDB trying to install anything just to hope it installs for free. So it was very useful information for me.

How to see unowned DLC for all my owned Steam games?

We have such filter on our sales page! In filter by type dropdown, you can select "DLCs for owned games (sale)" which will show all DLCs for your games that are currently on sale. There is also "DLCs for owned games (all)" which will show DLCs even if they are not currently on sale.

Pointing out that this refers to the sale page and filters on the sales page. What I was having an issue with is some times DLC won't show up on the sites page for purchase or even under my DLC Manager to show more DLC. I know that some times if a game comes out with a bundled version or changes the version you are buying to include older dlc. Those dlc some time disappear from the site for sale. Just cause you already get them with the game. So if you have an older version that did not include them. Then they may not show. Not always. Again, not sure why these DLC did not show up for me to get with out going to SteamDB.

Anyway, for the info. It is still very useful. :D

Weird, all but Great Bray Shaman and Ogre Mercenaries are just there on the Steam page, being free.
(And google says these are/were free on Total War Access, whatever it is)

Yep, im sure (99%) most of those DLC were announcend, each was released togheter with a paid DLC, i own all but this two:

Total War: WARHAMMER II - Ogre Mercenaries - https://steamdb.info/app/1576460/
Total War: WARHAMMER II - Rakarth - https://steamdb.info/app/1517260/

So thanks, i add those 2 license ;)

And yes, the way of the licenses of the free DLC is handle is weird, they allow you to add those licenses without the need to have the base game

This is only relevant for this game.
In most games, this is still not possible.

Thank you for this post. :)

I am know I previously installed one of these thru Steamdb because it is installed and I don't have ASF installed. But when I now click the "Install" button on Steamdb on any of the others, nothing happens (yes, the Steam app, is open). Has something changed or do I simply need more coffee ☕☕☕?

Edited to add: It seems I just needed more time and more patience. Though there was no indication when I clicked the Install link on Steamdb and the DLCs did not show as owned on the store page, they do show as activated in my account.

Once again, Steamdb proves that it deserves applause and an award was happily given to its author!
