I am still sort of new to this, even though I've been here for a year. I had a couple giveaways that I did for a group and 1 had 0 entries and another had 1 entry and because of that there is no option to send the gift.

So do I just recreate another giveaway for that game and probably make it public for more entries, or do I have to say send a support ticket to delete those giveaways with 0-1 entries and then recreate it?

Giveaways ended 2 days ago, that's why the post is written in past tense :)

These giveaways in question already ended, so that thread wouldn't help me. I am wondering what I should do with these two giveaways that have 0 and 1 entry respectively,.

The 1 entry one has a winner, you have to send the game to them. (unless you can get them to agree to delete)
The 0 entry giveaway ended with no winners, case closed there, nothing needs to be done, you can recreate the GA with the same key as public GA.

But the thing is with the 1 entry, it doesn't give me the option to send it - or do I have to actually add the person to steam friends to send him the key?

Is that possible that you've choosen "steam gift" at the giveaway creation? Doesn't matter much at the end, but in that case there wouldn't be a possiblity to add/edit keys and send with a single click (like it happened now)
In that case yes, just add them on Steam, tell that they won it in your giveaway and send the key (and maybe remind them to mark as received :) )

I didn't chose a steam gift, since it allows me to view the key and everything... maybe there was a new update or something for giveaways if they have less then 2 entries then maybe no one can win - since if there is only 1 entry it is guaranteed to go to the 1 entry?

I know I'm late - support ticket then indeed. If the system refused to pick them as the winner out of the 1 entry, they must have been suspended.

maybe the user got suspended/banned...thats the only reason that comes to mind
have you checked their profile ?

When I check there profile what am I looking for if they are suspended, where would it say that? Also what is weird when looking at the giveway with one entry even though it ended it says it has 0 winners? so like since there was only 1 entry it never chose a winner?

edit: heres the giveway link with 1 entry: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/3Wfde/puzzle-agent-2

I think the info should be in the top left on their profile...
I can' check the GA as I'm not a member of the group xD

Well yeah... well after checking his profile I don't see anything that says he is suspended or anything?

At the time the giveaway ended they may have had a 1 or 2 day suspension which has now ended. Anyone who is suspended at the time a giveaway ends is not eligible to win. You don't need to do anything if there is no winner so don't worry. Just make a new giveaway.

Or if your really wan't to be sure make a support ticket.

I just put in a support ticket now, to be sure what to do with it - since I am not sure.

But I do know I can recreate the 0 entry giveaway one.

I was the sole winner of a giveaway a couple of days ago and I got the game without a problem. This is really weird, I hope you find out what it's all about.

Unless like others have said, maybe the 1 entry was suspended for a couple days so when my giveaway ended he wasn't eligible so then that is why there was no winner selected.

You don't have to do anything with the 0 one. You can reacreate an other GA with the same key.
Even if there is one winner only, you have to send the game, except if you can make him agree to delete. But I admit I think it's a bit cheating...

The problem is that there is 1 participant, but he didn't win... talk about luck..

How can a single participant not win ? Is he suspended or something ?

I have no idea, unless maybe for giveaways you have to have actually 2 or more people to be part of it so someone can actually win so it is a 50% chance and not 100% if only 1 entry?

edit: I do know that below 5 you get no CV, I am not worried about that... I just want to know what to do with these giveaways that are not allow me to send the keys using the site itself.

No, it never had been specified anywhere that you need 2 people in. It's just that "less than 5 people in" = no CV. No abuse possible with 2 persons only.
You can recreate the 2 GA :)

I was just kind of saying that I've had giveaways that had less then 5 (they had 4 entries to be exact) and they went through, but I never had a 0 or 1 entry before.

So I am thinking maybe if there is only 1 entry then maybe it can't roll for a winner since it is automatically going to be that one entry?

And that is what it says on my giveaway page. 1 entry, 0 winner. So the only way I can actually send him the key would be to add him to friends on steam and send the key via chat.

No don't, at least not yet as he isn't the winner, just make a support ticket of it and support will tell you how to proceed.

I will probably do that then for the 1 entry giveaway, I can then just recreate the 0 entry giveaway then.

I checked your profile, and it's written no winner, so leave it that way and create an other GA for this key as well :)

Recreate the ones with 0, send the ones with 1, choose a larger group next time.

There is no winner on the one with 1 personn either...

The one entry is likely suspended then, in which case it is the same as a zero-entry giveaway.

Give the game to the winner. How is this even a question?

There is no winner, that's probably why the question.

Think is in the giveaway page, the 1 entry wasn't selected as the winner, so the only way I can give the key to him would be adding him to friends on steam?

So maybe ill just have to ask support to see what to do?

Never had that occurred to me, but I think your safest bet is to ask support to delete the GA explaining that no winner was picked. This way, they'll look into it and do whatever must be done (either delete it or roll the winner, but I assume delete), and you'll be sure not to have any bad surprise :)

The only problem is that the one with one entry actually says 'No Winners' on it. I've never seen that before with a giveaway that had at least one entry in it. It always said 'Awaiting Feedback'. So there is either a bug or something else that caused it to say that.

Maybe someone from support will read this thread and give us an explanation.:)

send a ticket to support just to be sure, but that user was probably suspended and wasn't allowed to be picked as a winner.
if that's the case, ignore that giveaway and make a new one.

Update: Just got hold of support, they said that I can just leave it as is and then recreate the giveaway with the same key, since there was no winner selected.
