I don't usually post here in the forum, but I had to say something.
At first I thought that the OP was going to bitch and moan about his relationship, but I guess that's why there's a saying - Don't judge a book by it's cover.
It's good to know that there are still romantic guys who still are searching for something more than a meaningless relationship, but something more - true love.
I've been through the same shit as you, OP. Hell, I've been through worse just a couple of months ago ( also a 2,5 year relationship ), but it gets better. I hope you find what you are looking for. I didn't give up and now I believe that I have found a girl who I can trust and love.
So keep your head up, OP. If an ugly and dumb guy like me can find what he's looking for, then anyone can :D

as someone who has cheated/ was considered cheating, here's a piece of my mind: there never is a good reason or a reasonable excuse. Cheating is still cheating regardless of the involving of physical contact or not. I fucked up mostly because both were making moves on me and I became the macho male I had never been by having intimate relationship with both. Sometimes pride is lust's best friend, having sth to brag about can seriously cloud your judgment and guide your dick to places where it should not go.

so your ex is an arsehole, I was a lesser arsehole because I knew better to not make any official commitment but it was still pretty messed up. You should now go have fun, spend more quality time with family and friends. Let bygone be bygone!
