Are you asking if the game is any good, or do you want someone to calculate whether it's probable you'll make a profit on the exercise?

I found the game a bit mediocre. It's a passable distraction, but as others have said already, there are a lot of better games in the genre. Will you make money off the trading cards? They sell for an average of 35 cents each.
From memory, I think there are 6 playing cards in the series. Picking it up for $2.49 will mean you'll probaby recoup about a dollar unless you get a foil card, so you'll effectively get the game for $1.50.
Personally I'd hold onto your cash, as there will be better deals on better games in the summer sale, if not beforehand.

If you want the game, yes. Buying games you aren't interesterd in for trading cards is a mug's game unless you're practically guaranteed to make money which, most of the time, you aren't. People are paying a lot less for trading cards now than they were in the beginning, so those halcyon days of buying a game, and then selling a bunch of non-foil cards to turn a profit on the venture look to be a thing of the past :(
If you want the game, treat the cards as a discount and make your decision accordingly. If not, avoid, unless the cards you'll get are trading for more than the price of the game.

You will only make like $1 USD off it, with the cards. The game costs $2.49 or you can get the complete edition for $2.99. It isn't an awful deal, but we are mostly past the cards pay for the game stage. If you find a foil, that might be different, but they are also dropping in price. I look at it more like the cards provide a discount that might not be attainable elsewhere, unless it ends up in a future bundle or you get it from a past one. If you want it, the deal isn't bad, with the cards. It is this way with a few games. I have done this and also, in the past, got free games as a result of buying them for the cards. It isn't a bad approach, if you want the games.

Thanks for that, i think im buying it but did ARES had a bundle ?

ARES has been in two bundles - an Indie Royale and an Indiegala. The Indiegala bundle also contained Really Big Sky so if you can find someone selling it cheap it's a good way of getting two games with cards.
As for the game itself, it's decent enough and has a pretty good soundtrack, but as others are saying for it to be a worthwhile purchase now it's got to be a game you want with the cards as a bonus, rather than the other way round.

If you're going to buy a game for cards, go for Magicka because you'll at least have fun playing it.
That said, I don't think you should buy a game 'for the cards."

So ill go with Magicka instead of ARES ? Is magicka really fun ?

Yup, it's great fun. You play as a magician and combine different elements to create spells and whatnot.
Just played it with a friend today; it's must better in co-op, I think. Still very enjoyable by yourself, though.
