I used to enter a ton of giveaways, I'd enter even if I'd never even heard of the game. After winning a terrible game that no one should ever play, I started to wonder why I entered it. Now I usually only enter wishlist giveaways.

I think i'll win the game and then if i won it i'll take a look for the game and if i don't like it i'll call to re-roll.

I hardly enter nowadays, but I enter if I really want the game.

I enter fewer and fewer every day.
Began to realize that if I can purchase a game for myself, I probably should and give someone else the chance to win.

I used to enter everything because I just wanted free stuff, won some games.
Didn't play a bunch of games yet. Felt guilty. Then I decided to enter the bundled games with the cards. Won some more games.
Didn't play a bunch of those either. Felt more guilty, so I started only entering games I'd play and try to be efficient and use up all my points. Won some more games.
Didn't play a bunch of those either. Guilt. Now I enter the giveaways that I would move straight to the top of my backlog. Won some of those.
Played as much as I could, but didn't play them all. Even more guilt.
Now I keep forgetting to visit the giveaways page.

I think I covered everything...

Games are my primary choice of entertainment and the loins of my soul burn for specific things, but I have extremely limited income and can never usually justify spending money on myself for leisure. Losing all the giveaways is still more proactive than wistfully touching Steam store entries on my phone screen every night before I go to sleep, therefore I'll never stop.

Only enter for games I want to play and my blacklist / ignore list of games is laaarge.

I only enter giveaways I want to play at some point. But i am entering less and less every day thinking i can't play the with this backlog.

To win them. xD And only for games that I want to play at some point.

I can feel the blacklists coming but what the hell, I'm low on them anyway xD

It mostly depends on what type of giveaway it is.

1. With whitelist giveaways I will only enter if there's a good chance I'll play that game.
2. With group giveaways(now that the only group I'm in doesn't have a ratio) I'll also only enter stuff with high possibility I'll play.
3. With group giveaways(back when I was in groups that had a ratio) Id enter even when I was mildly interested cause I felt I had to "break even"
4. With forum giveaways I generally also enter stuff I'm somewhat interested and will maybe play at some point.
5. With public giveaways I'll just enter anything that's even slightly appealing, even if chances of actually playing it are quite low.

I want giveaway creators to be happy. If noone enters their giveaways, they can feel ignored, right?

I only enter games on my WL, but since (before the two sakura games) my last win was 2 months ago it's mostly just to spend the points on games in my WL Which (despite having a HUGE wishlist) only results in about 50 or so GA to enter (and that's even more when a Popular bundle comes out that I haven't bought yet.)
