"I'm going to blacklist you!"

About 10 minutes ago I wanted to actually type down the reason that I was going to blacklist someone, then thought... "nevermind" and blacklisted him anyway without posting anything.

Where's the "I don't threaten, but I do blacklist" option? I just use it as my own personal "ignore" function that allows me to mark trolls so I'm reminded not to interact with them.

I would appreciate a real ignore option tbh.

You lack the answer that goes as following:
"I don't threat people to blacklist them, I just do it and they don't even know what hit them"
I think that's what people mostly do here, because who would like to waste his time for threatening others to blacklist them, anyway?

You miss the option of "I don't threaten to blacklist, I just do it if I think someone really deserves it" =)

i don't blacklist at all, even those that really deserve it.

I don't blacklist period, until I have a scammy esque situation then maybe, but if someones an a-hole to me, I wouldn't think much of it :-)

I generally save my blacklist for those exact kind of people, the ones who I've seen threaten others multiple times with their own blacklist, regardless of the quality of their giveaways. To have the audacity to think you have power over people like that is just mindblowing. You're in a community designated to sharing. Getting butthurt over a forum rant just isn't worth it. Personally I don't think you should even be allowed to blacklist people from the forums, it just makes some people that bit more scared to share their true opinions for fear of being blacklisted. It should solely be restricted to people who have won your giveaways, so if it's someone who takes months to activate games or someone who has a disgraceful ratio, after you've fairly given that person their winnings, you can help give other people a slightly better chance for future giveaways.

Honestly, I'm not as much a stickler for rules to blacklist anyone. It's not like I give many games away in the first place, though I'm considering another giveaway soon...but such a hassle with giving away humble links >.<

Ehm, I seem to have gotten lost in my thoughts. What were we talking about again? Ah yes, blacklisting. Honestly, those who just reply to someone to say "blacklisted" should be considered spam for a good 80% of them imo.

I never intended to even use the blacklist feature, but I've since come across a couple of serial re-gifters that have found their way onto it.

Regardless of the shit's that has been given - just putting that to words, towards someone is plain insignificant and ludicrous.
If one does blacklist, for whatever purpose/reason - good, but no need to mention it, since that only conveys this message:
"hey, I'm telling you, that you're blacklisted and that will miss out on my shit-loot-chances and i'm "potato" (important)"
On the other hand its a rock solid idiot indicator.

Personally i mostly use it to remember, potential untrustworthy traders, whom i just stumbled upon by chance (with clean rep).

i don't give away much but i try to make it count, so i don't want my little games to end up in the hands of someone who's always rude to others, leeches or compulsive rule-breakers.

I mostly use the blacklist thingy as a reminder to myself. Sort of a "hey, that guy is kinda a dick" list. Obviously I don't bother mentioning to the very few people who are in it that I think they're jerks. They probably know it without anyone bringing it up. ^_^

Isn't this a very small thing to whine about? Just like how people can not threaten when they blacklist/want to blacklist, you could have just not made a discussion about how you're annoyed by them and just keep that to yourself.

It's funny when people 'threaten' that as if it's going to matter SO much to the other person. I mean, I can understand that sure, maybe there's a reason, but you don't need to say. Just blacklist them and move on. Half the time, it just ends up in an argument when people say that.

If I blacklisted everyone that I've seen who has non-activations, regifts, etc, my blacklist would need to have a much higher limit.

Easiest way to get blacklisted? - do something agianst the rules or don't show any gratitude after getting the game (leaving some comment before the GA finishes is also fine). I don't bother to inform anyone.
