Myu favorite game of all times in post-apocalypctic theme genre is stalker trilogy .

Played both original versions. Good games, don't see any reason to play the Redux versions though.

Spec Ops: The Line. This game will test your morality as you decide the fate of the many people you encounter. It is set in Dubai and for some reason is banned in the UAE!

A close second is Fallout: New Vegas. This game forces you to be wary of your standing (or lack of) with different factions that are warring for control of the city; you can ally with the good guys, bad guys, or be plain neutral. You can pick your friends and foes which will influence the towns you can enter. You can lose relationships with companions if you go against their beliefs and allegiances; for example you will lose standing with your traveling companion if you destroy his clan's base, or kill their leader. There are so many minor quests available, and that's just the base game. The excellent DLCs for the game will push a ~70 hour campaign into +200 hours.

I adore Metro and STALKER...but I've never been able to buy and play any of them, especially since the Redux versions don't run on my system ¯\(ツ)/¯

Fallout 1-2 and Metro games. Did you read Metro novels? I really loved them but sadly Metro 2035 still doesn't have an English translation available :'(

The Fallout Games (1 & 2 & 3 & NV) are my favourites as well as its spiritual predecessors Wasteland.

Maybe not so post-apocalyptic but little bit similar to for example Rage - Spec Ops The Line - for plot. And from stricte post-apo it's Borderlands :D I don't know what else, this two games were my initial thoughts :D

Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout Tacticts from classic games, from new games - Underrail is nice combination and reminiscence of old Fallouts, and maybe Wasteland 2
