cant you just buy another copy, give it to one of the gifters and ask them to delete thier giveaway so they can remake it

if that is an option I would certainly be willing to do that. the problem with the one from 2015 is that I cannot see the GA as I am no longer a member of the group that it was in. I could try to get hold of the owner of the second GA the one from 2013 and see if that is an option?
Edit the user from the 2013 GA has not been online for over 2 years so not an option that way not sure if it would work either?

+1 exactly, you don't even have to be a member of the group to see that. just comment on one of their public GAs and try and work it out with them there, then that user can link support to the conversation to correct/re-roll delete it. (assuming they are willing to work with you, but they are active)

Some possible scenarios (no judgment here, just wondering about how it could happen)
1) You never activated the game in 2013 when you won it the first time, or
2) You activated it in 2013 and then it was removed from your account due to being revoked, or
3) You activated it in 2013 and then you had it removed from your own account for some reason
Otherwise SG syncs your profile weekly and it looks like a normal game that gets detected normally, so it shouldn't let you enter if you had it in your account... weird.

It says on the steam page that it was activated in 2015. So the issue is with the 2013 win I guess. It was so long ago that I cannot remember if there was anything wrong at the time but other GAs where I did not receive the game I have clicked not received so that was already on at the time. very weird. indeed.

Maybe the two of you worked something out back then where he would give you a different game? Check what other games you activated in the week or two after December 17th of 2013 and see if it jogs your memory.
If Blackwell Deception is in there, it may be that - there was a bug with Blackwell Deception keys where they gave multiple games at first. The dev fixed it and people lost the other games that weren't Blackwell Deception, but some people here may have given the game away under those other titles.

I would not have taken another game and accepted that instead that is also cheating. HMMMM hope I can sort this out with the still active user as I have purchased a new Gemini Rue game

I seem to have won Geminy Rue 2 times once in 2015 and once in 2013. What I do not understand is how this happened? I always activate my wins and I do not seem to have 2 versions of the game on steam. I also only enter GAs for games on my wishlist and if a game is activated on steam it is removed from the wishlist. I do realize that this post will get me on someones Blacklists and that ultimately I should have checked before entering and so it is in the end my fault. that being said I do not check all the games I enter for ( Though I do see if I have the DLCs just a precaution) and I really would like to know what went wrong so I do not find myself in this situation again.
What has me most perplexed is that I did not notice anything the second time I won? I activated the link on humblebundle and the game was registered there.
Has there been two versions of this game on Steam or has it been a bit like Painkiller black edition and then fixed as it does show as owned now?
I am slightly annoyed that this is on my SG profile as I do not cheat as a rule and this is a mistake made by me that makes it so that I will forever be seen as a cheat on SG no matter what happens.
