My specs:

  • CPU: Intel I5 6500 3.2Ghz

  • CPU Cooler: Artic Freezer 7 pro

  • RAM: 2x4GB DDR3

  • Currently Graphic card: GTX 750Ti

  • PSU: Antec Basiq 450W

  • Display: Samsung S20C300L( 21 Inch display)

I plan to buy a Sapphire RX 480 Nitro 8GB version, now Is there anything else I should put my money into nor should I buy a better PSU, I read on a few websites that 450W PSU is enough but I'd thought I should share it with you guys before I go on with purchase.

Thanks :)

Put your OS on an SSD :)

If you're not using an SSD right now then that's my vote for sure. It just makes life better.

Should I?, I mean I am bothered by the fact it is taking me 5 minutes to startup my OS, but does it really make a huge difference?

5 mins to a couple secs? I'd say yes :D

Faster startup is just a tiny thing, every program you launch will show up much faster and yea some games will benefit big time too. Downside, really, is that after 4 years of using it I can't bear to use regular computers, they make me so angry with their slowness ;_;

Well, a sloth bothered by slowness, I can say that's a first! :D

The moment you load a game with it you'll kick yourself for holding out so long. They are the bollocks, just do it :)

Yeah, like Sloth said, I'd go with the GPU and SSD option.
Once you go SSD, you'll never want to go back to platter drives again. :X

Everything else looks good.

I'd go with SSD for System and misc stuff and plain old HDD for additional storage.

As almost everyone said, I'd go for an SSD and maybe 8GB of extra RAM depending now it's cost to upgrade.

I see your monitor is not 1080p, poor nitro, upgrade it :p

ssd makes leading faster and that's all
only a few games would benefit from 16gb ram (also you can download more ram !!!! badum tsss)
meanwhile you'll be watching the monitor all the time :p

Get some ram for sure , since its relatively cheap and 8 to 16 is nice boost .

Other then that ppl suggest SSD ... never really used one myself , but i heard good things bout them so i guess go for it :)

Also i have no idea bout GPUs ... >.< Sorry have a bump instead !

Unless it's absolutely necessary to upgrade now, you should wait for Vega. I recommend a new monitor - It's a waste to not be running at least 1080p with a new GPU.

An i5-6500, which is socket LGA-1151, but you have DDR3 RAM? o.0 I mostly saw this combo on cheap mini-ITX boards.

Your priority should go like this imo : SSD > GPU > RAM, and double check if your PSU is enough for your next GPU.

Also like Talgaby said, DDR3 with an i5 6500 ? huh? What's your motherboard ?

like all said before.. ssd ssd ssd ssd & ssd.. xD

you don't mention any storage what so ever btw on the op. you least of all are going to need something for os, but ssd especially a must. i don't personally even bother with a direct hdd anymore, mine are nat & usb for storage, dual ssd for os/games. ^^

I'm using a 500W PSU with a 6700K and 980 TI, can see why 450w wouldn't be more than enough.

the RX480 should be a nice upgrade, consider that the 4GB version has a very very small performance downgrade, they are practically the same.

an SSD, but they still are a bit expensive, i mean for the price of a 1TB normal disc you can only consider a 240GB one, but they might be worth the extra speed.

RAM, maybe, i mean most games surely run and will run good on 8GB but another 8GB might cut down loads speeds considerably.

SSD (fresh OS isntall) -> GPU -> Monitor -> RAM
up to 1060 performance, get 1080p
above, 1440p
if you can get an equal 3rd 4Gb ram stick, shouldn't be expensive, 12Gb is fine
