This is my first puzzle for this event and I greatly enjoyed learning about this landmark and its amazing history. It is a monument that represents Freedom for Bulgarians against the Turks trying to overtake them during the Russian-Turkish wars of 1877.

Just want to point out,the war was not to stop the Ottomans from overtaking Bulgaria,Bulgaria was already under slavery since 1396( I guess you can do the math 1396-1878),and this war was to free Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.

Nothing to be sad about,things of the past should remain in the past,and we should move on,but we need to remember,not to make the same mistakes as before,we need to learn from the past :)
