I'm wondering how to give away a base game and a few DLC all together. Is that doable? Is it a good idea?

You may create a GA for the game, and then send the DLC keys to the winner via email or via Steam.
But if you want to receive CV from the DLCs too, you have to create separate GAs.

If the game has a version that includes those particular DLCs (for example, a Gold Edition or something like that), you can also post a giveaway for that, then send all keys to the winner. Just make sure to post oly one key in the giveaway field or set it to "gift" instead of "key".

I recommend doing a giveaway for the base game - if you do one for "Gold Edition" or "Complete" version, you will get people entering who may already have the game and all DLCs, and this just wastes the giveaway.

If you're talking about Redout for example - just do the base game. You can give the DLC to the winner, or do giveaways for them after the base game giveaway expires - this then allows the winner, and any other people who don't have the DLC the chance to enter for those too.

I have noticed that you can still enter for DLC you already own. So the problem of "entering for owned items" still persists this way.

That will never go away with the DLCs. But if they own the DLC, that's a ground for a 100% reroll, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, and it's the main game that gives the most CV - at least doing it separately, you aren't giving that away to someone who already owns it. I've done three recently that were gold or bundle packs, and it's amazing how many people still enter, even when you specifically state not to.

Hhhhm. No it's a base version of a game, and a couple of DLC packs.

So you can't add all the keys in one and get the appropriate value for your contributor level? You have to do each one separately?
