I'm trading games for wishlisted ones. Sometimes it's better to buy a recent bundle and trade games from it rather than offer money for games to people. Most of the times I buy a lot together, so those are games I already own, don't like them or couldn't find suited trade for it.

SteamTrades, Barter... rules are simple - higher repitation goes first.
So unless you trade with person with no feedback/lots of negative ones, you can safely trade.
