I don't know why that game isn't showing up, normally what you want shows up on the first page... So do as Adam said and contact support to get it added :)

I think a url ability is a good idea, especially when there are lots of variations.

It's actually a very valid suggestion, also for different cases. For example due to one of DIG bundles a lot of ppl were confused and giving away Dark Matter instead of Dark Matter. Same game name, two totally different titles.

what the.....don't people check game names in steam to make sure it's not already taken, to minimise confusion!?

yeah, before that I was pretty sure it's impossible for 2 games to have the same name on steam (not to mention copyrights to game name), but as seen above I was proven wrong ;p

Names aren't copyrightable. That's what trademarks are for.

Basically if you don't trademark your name, you risk someone else taking it and/or blocking you from using it. (Unless you have money to fight for it).

There's Reflex and RefleX.
Then RIP and RIP Trilogy (contains RIP, RIP 2 and RIP 3)

Sorry, meant trademark ofc, not copyright ;) Here comes me not being so good with english ;p

As for trademark - idk how it legally works worldwide, but in EU if you didn't trademark your name other company make take it, but if other company from same or very similar business line (and both creating video games fall into this) the first one who did something in this business line (in this case first one who came up with video game Dark Matter) may request in court second party to drop the name.

Yeah, but if someone trademarks it first, you're going to run costs in defending your right to it.

If you're small / indie dev, that can be a obstacle.

tl;dr, trademarks are serious business
