CS:GO is pretty much ruined

Wait? They drop for idling?

1. 1/3? Hell no, most of the players play on the regular servers among others.

2. If you idle, you can't get any items, just like in the newest version on TF2.

3. Stop hating, they're entirely aesthetic skins. Even though the prices are bullshit (My friend sold a knife for $186)

I haven't seen many idlers at all (maybe 2 or 3 potential ones over about 10 hours of gameplay). I think Valve have learned since their anti-idle TF2 update.

I think this update is amazing. It adds some diversity to the game and keeps most people in matches until the last round! :D Aesthetic changes are exactly what I want to find in drops, nothing else.

when will CSGO be free to play

I have been on holiday for a week. I came back to have a quick frag and what do I find... CSGO with a market?! I was confused, then I started a match and saw people running about with really horrid looking skins on their guns. I'll basically just sell any drops I get (not that I got any in a few hours play last night anyway). Luckily my matches didn't have any idlers at all.

Most people are idling for the operation payback thing. I don't really care about those people idling, they'll get kicked anyways.

This update is great, finally some variety in guns.

They're doing it wrong, then. There's idle servers out there now that let people just stay around for short matches on custom maps. Idling on regular servers is more likely to get you kicked because the rounds and matches take a longer time, meaning they are more likely to get kicked for idling.

They are idling for the gold coin of Operation Payback, it was the same before the update. The good point of the update is that you'll get money each week if they don't reduce the drop amount.

How do you get items? I play on community server, on normal server and nothing. And people who idle get items? How does it work?

¨The fun part is, that every map I've been on we have kicked those who is AFK/idling. So I don't see this as a big problem. Please stop whining.

Got my 2 items :) But after 2 hours now nothing. Is it limited to 2/day?

It's a proven fact that half of the game buyers doesn't play the game after they buy (yes, there is a study about it) and it's normal that people lose interest after a few months playing. They found a way to keep more players active and to keep their servers with a constant cash flow to justify them to keep it alive.

TL;DR: stop complaining since they are trying to keep the game alive.

Atleast I've gotten around 10$ on selling crates.

But I play CS:Go for fun and not for item collecting.

The new M4-S is OP as fuck. Who cares that you only have 20 bullets if every shot is a headshot? It's way too accurate imo. The new skins aren't as distracting and over the top as I thought they are going to be but I really hope they don't add guns you have to pay for. All in all it ain't all that bad but I still prefer the pre update cs go.

They removed idling in TF2, and encouraged it on CS:GO... Oh, Valve

I find it as much fun as much I found it when I first tried it. (No, that's not implying it sucked from the beginning.)

Do you only get drops from competitive mode? Or by playing on any official server?
