i'm so fucking pissed off
1/3 of players are idling since the last update

Wait? They drop for idling?
whenever a map changes on official servers there are drops
That is so stupid...
Why? There's less rage quitting, and more people in matches until the final round.
Even if they are all just hanging out at the spawn point, examining their boots, while their puppet-masters are AFK, or furiously scanning through the Community Market pages like Gordon Gekko on amphetamines?
lol I'm not even certain I've seen any puppets at all! Maybe the occasional person who isn't moving, but nothing on the scale the OP is referring to!
Nor me. In the few games I've played since the update, everyone was running around as normal, and enthusiastically riddling me with bullets, as I've come to expect :)
You may have not heard it, but they were probably laughing while doing that.
The game does have a learning curve. Even I suffer at times but once you get used to the maps and weapons, it's so much fun ^^ The random weapon/crate drops are just a bonus that makes it worth playing even more.
+1. I played a few hours since the update and never once came across an idler.
1/3? Hell no, most of the players play on the regular servers among others.
If you idle, you can't get any items, just like in the newest version on TF2.
had 5 idlers in a 4v5 game before. now they are like 6-7 in a 8vs8 game..
i cant stop hating, they fucked up CS
They will realize soon enough that you can't idle to get items.
Idlers still get items in TF2
Only if they check from time to time.
wow. I should play GO more often it seems.
I haven't seen many idlers at all (maybe 2 or 3 potential ones over about 10 hours of gameplay). I think Valve have learned since their anti-idle TF2 update.
I think this update is amazing. It adds some diversity to the game and keeps most people in matches until the last round! :D Aesthetic changes are exactly what I want to find in drops, nothing else.
when will CSGO be free to play
its free to play once you own it
If you are too poor to spend 3.74€ during the sale, you are probably too poor to own a decent PC that would run it anyway.
Or maybe you're just smart enough to not waste money on a rehashed game.
Free 2 Play? Sure, i'll give it a go. But based on screenshots, player feedback, videos, and the general appearance of the game, it looks like a shitty rehash of a previous CS game; kind of like the shitty reskin that was L4D2.
I think he's meaning like tf2,first they introduce item drops system, then they made it f2p
I have been on holiday for a week. I came back to have a quick frag and what do I find... CSGO with a market?! I was confused, then I started a match and saw people running about with really horrid looking skins on their guns. I'll basically just sell any drops I get (not that I got any in a few hours play last night anyway). Luckily my matches didn't have any idlers at all.
The market seems like a really bad idea to me...since when did CS:GO become TF2?
The differences between the CS:GO market and the TF2 market are vast.
Most people are idling for the operation payback thing. I don't really care about those people idling, they'll get kicked anyways.
Just got 5 bucks from 2 crates. I think the update is something fantastic and nice.
got the same, bought humble origin bundle BTA with that.
High five (bucks)!
Hah I was thinking about opening a one of my crates and hope for a lucky $400 drop, but knowing my luck I decided to sell the crate instead.
How often those crates drop?
Both dropped while my cousin was playing, so I'm not sure.
idling for what?
how do u know they cud jsut be shitting for a really really long time :P
been there done that xD
I can aslo call a vote kick and kick them out of the lobby....
This update is great, finally some variety in guns.
They're doing it wrong, then. There's idle servers out there now that let people just stay around for short matches on custom maps. Idling on regular servers is more likely to get you kicked because the rounds and matches take a longer time, meaning they are more likely to get kicked for idling.
They are idling for the gold coin of Operation Payback, it was the same before the update. The good point of the update is that you'll get money each week if they don't reduce the drop amount.
How do you get items? I play on community server, on normal server and nothing. And people who idle get items? How does it work?
¨The fun part is, that every map I've been on we have kicked those who is AFK/idling. So I don't see this as a big problem. Please stop whining.
::1 and ::
y u do dis
Idle server's don't kick players tho.
There is a minimal amount of idle servers on GO though.
Cry me a river. use kick on them.
Oh no! Well then stop playing the game. Thanks bye.
Cs:go was ruined since day one.
Nah, I've played it for a bit and I quite enjoyed it, like it more than the others.

Got my 2 items :) But after 2 hours now nothing. Is it limited to 2/day?
It's a proven fact that half of the game buyers doesn't play the game after they buy (yes, there is a study about it) and it's normal that people lose interest after a few months playing. They found a way to keep more players active and to keep their servers with a constant cash flow to justify them to keep it alive.
TL;DR: stop complaining since they are trying to keep the game alive.
You're throwing around words like "fact" and "half" pretty loosely here.
nobody lost his interest in CS. it had like 20-25k people online everyday. they are just greedy as fuck.
there is a study about it
Care to link it?
Atleast I've gotten around 10$ on selling crates.
and I used it all to buy keys.
But I play CS:Go for fun and not for item collecting.
The new M4-S is OP as fuck. Who cares that you only have 20 bullets if every shot is a headshot? It's way too accurate imo. The new skins aren't as distracting and over the top as I thought they are going to be but I really hope they don't add guns you have to pay for. All in all it ain't all that bad but I still prefer the pre update cs go.
They removed idling in TF2, and encouraged it on CS:GO... Oh, Valve
How are they encouraging them in CS:GO?
Adding cosmetics and shit. Now we need hats and we're done
Just ask everyone to kick him/her.
I find it as much fun as much I found it when I first tried it. (No, that's not implying it sucked from the beginning.)
