Dear SteamGifts,

As with my previous threads I nailed down what I want inside.. now I just need something to fit everything into. Since, I was talked out of Mini-ITX/ATX etc.. build. And, now doing a normal size build. Is there any Computer cases similar to this one (Cooler Master Elite 13)[http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119286] but not Mini-ITX.. that can support a regular MOBO/GFX card/RAM/PSU?

As, my problem is.. I can have a desktop as wide as it wants but I am limited in height. this is my dimensions.

Height Limit: 12" Inches

Width Limit: 48" - 49" Inches

Also, I cannot place the desktop on the floor these dimensions are for the entertainment centers console tray.

This is a mini-ITX, but it's also an i5 with a 780 Ti.

It is a gaming beast.

As long as your parts are the same size or smaller than what this build uses, your build will fit just fine.

If you're really looking for short-wide cases, look for HTPC cases. The form factor was originally meant for media center PCs, but people have been increasingly using them to build epic living room gaming rigs. You do have to be careful about the size of your parts, but you can look at build diary videos on youtube to see what the potential issues are, if any issues exist.

This case by Lian-Li is just under 8 inches tall. It's just tall enough to hold a full-height/full-length video card without using a riser, and it can hold a full ATX motherboard. It can use all normal parts, but you will want to double check on your intended disc drive if you wish to use one. I'd go with an external disc drive that you plug into a USB port, considering how rarely many people use a disc today.

That's my favorite case so far.

  1. Buy a normal case.
  2. Lay it on it's side.

1: Is fine.
2: Blocks airflow if it isn't designed to be layed on it's side.

It was a joke ;)

Try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119265

EDIT: nevermind. 1 inch too tall... if you could take the feet off, it may just fit. Would be cool because it has the same room as a full sized ATX case and could hold anything you want to put in there.

Actually, even though it's a Inch taller I may be able to work with it.. What I can do is buy the case before the parts and worst case scenario I just return the case..

Second, Thank you Joey.. I actually like that case a fucking lot.
