Truth!
Cards = sell or craft badges. Worthless penny items from crafting = gems.

I voted gems, I understand why I am in the minority as the person above stated its more profitable to sell. Its easy to turn them into gems. Gems have trade value and market value. Neither for my time is of interest but if I was choosing I choose gems for the convenience.

everything you stated is true. It still consumes more time to post the cards at prices depending what you want out of them (matching highest offer for instant sale) I would rather save the time and pay for the gems than manufacture them or sell cards. I like the speed aspect of gems insta eliminate this from my inventory.

Best to sell your cards and turn other things into gems (unless they have some value on the market).

Have you ever looked at yellow text in front of a white background?

It's all about mo' money, mo' money, mo' money! Sell! Gems aren't worth messing around with. If anything I just leave the money in my Steam wallet until I have enough to buy a game to give away here. Which reminds me, I need to get to farming. $1.24 doesn't buy much of a game and it seems that the love for Fortix has all but disappeared since it was bundled.

Copying my comment from under a similar topic:
Cards converted into gems are worth a lot less than if sold as cards (at least the ones I tried).
An example:
The "Have you met the witch of the woods?" card of Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride is worth £0.11 at the moment and is convertable to 5 Gems, resulting in £0.022 / Gem. As far as I know one can only sell Gems in bundles of 1000 (called Sack of Gems), for which the price is £0.43 at the moment, resulting in £0.00043 / Gem . So that specific card drops to about 1/50th of is value if converted into Gems. I don't know if it's the same for all other stuff too, but I remember back at the Christmas Sale when I tried to convert Christmas cards into Gems it resulted in the same horrible value drop.

Gems were only worth it when buying 100 Gem emotes for £0.03 before the Gem auction. Typically the price of gems skyrockets so you end up with a nice profit of around £0.30 per 1000 gem bundle.
In short, no. They are not worth it unless you took advantage of them when they were first implemented.

other way works sometimes. buy gems, make a boosterpack with them and sell cards

I just noticed that gems are still an option. Yeah, I'm slow. I haven't seen any topics covering this, so I figured I'd start one. Is it better to sell your cards, or turn them into gems? Why?
