For giveaways, I think it was Tuesdays, as there were Humble gaming bundles in the past. But I am not sure this is true anymore.

giveaways are fun to enter - but you dont get the game (mostly). limited time free game infos are more fun --> you get the game everytime xD

Personally I think it’s pretty quick to just check once a day, I think no matter what if you only log on once a week, you’re likely to miss out.

the 5 min check before bedtime becomes 50 min everytime :)) but i guess its more fun to hide 10 games a day than to hide 100 games a week at once. and same with the discussions. ;-)

Hahaha, my strategy is I usually pop in for a quick minute a few times a day to check my WL GAs and the newest discussion topics, maybe avoiding the main GA page will help? :)

I have no life, so I like to check the site each hour of every day while I am awake. There is a new page in the stats here that shows how many users are on the site. There is a chart for days of the week and also hours of the day. You can select and drag to highlight a part of the chart to zoom in on that area. I believe it is shown in UTC time. It looks like the site as the most users active on Monday or Tuesday and then slowly drops throughout the week with the least number of users on Saturday. Users are most active from 14 to 21 UTC time and least active from 1 to 8 UTC time.
It will take some time to load all the stats, but then you should be able to click through all the different stats pages on the left side and it should load them quick.
Edit: This is just telling you how many active users are on the site. This does not mean that the users who contribute the most to giveaways or the discussions are active at that time.

That stats page also shows how many users connected on the previous day from each country. It looks like Russia has the most users, followed by USA, Brazil, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Taiwan...

I feel like most of the threads here are going to be about bundles, community events, or just random stuff created by the community. I don't think there is lot of gaming news posted here. So if you really want to keep up on the latest gaming news, you are probably going to miss out the majority of it if you only check this site. I don't keep up on gaming news, so I'm not sure what a good site would be.

Once a month, when Humble Bundle launches, Tuesday is the best day. Then it's the weekend after the HB launch (or after another good bundle is launched). Otherwise it's either Saturday or Sunday. IMO most important though are not days but hours - most of the flash GAs with very high odds seem to happen between midnight and 3 AM GMT. And certainly December is the best month.
