Have you won a lot of games?
there was a guy earlier who hasn´t won a giveaway due to 4 moths
its random chance though wich u should know by now :)
u could consider going for a higher level wich means more giveaway options to join or join groups for group exclusive giveaways and if you are really lucky people will whitelist you for even more exclusive giveaways. still won't gaurantee u would win anything though :)

0 Won for 15+ Estimated Wins !?
I can't believe it ... it would be harder than winning Lotto.

Some people are simply capable of beating the odds.

Would have been interesting to see the experiment go on and see how long it would last. Some more and Khalaq would have started to warp time-continuum.

It's still the bestest giveaway I ever won. Every time I remember how much effort you guys put into giving me a first win, it makes me smile. D

And look at you now, with 76 wins.
Though I gave you a key for Woolfe though. Or was it something else?
Edit - Found it, that FATE game. :P

How can I see how many entries I have or is that not a feature anymore (it's not on my account page)? :)

Not really reset - there was some database corruption so around 10% of giveaways lost their entries.

Ah, ok. I was asking because the other day there was an user who had 108 entries when you looked him up in the userbase, but his entered giveaways page showed 729 entries. That's quite more than 10% in his case.

Are you using some script to show extra information?

tbh you entered on few GA's o.o http://www.steamgifts.com/users/search?q=zelgh

The GAs you've won so far have on average about 968 entries. (714 if you ignore the extremes)
Assuming that's the same for all your entries, having 6 wins in 3700 entries against those odds is definitely NOT unlucky. If you go by statistical averages you should have only won 4 or 5 (again depending on wether you ignore the extremes).

Click on username to open profile. Click on number of "Gifts won" field to pull up the list of wins.
The rest is doing math on the numbers presented.

Oh, I misread what you wrote. I thought you had something that was telling you the average number of entries in all the giveaways that he entered, not just the ones he won. I understand now, thanks.

3700 entries and 6 wins is actually pretty good. If you are upset now, things are only going to get worse. You are winning 1 in 600, I am winning 1 in 1100 and I don't enter giveaways with a lot of people. I think you have won a lot more than most people if you don't count small group giveaways.

That image was the old profiles, so some of the information is now no longer shown or is available elsewhere.

These stats were removed from the profile to relieve some stress on the database and help the site maintain a decent speed. Forcing a search on these would be a lot more taxing on the server than when it was done internally. Any responsible script creator will do his best to avoid features which would be detrimental to the website as a whole.

It depends on which GAs you take part in. You have won one per 616 entries, give or take. You seem to take part in GAs open for all, which may have a general mean participation of roundabout 650 entries. If that is a correct appraisal, then you pretty much win what you are due...

You have 0.16% won/entered ratio, which is not the worst one. Give a look to this topic: http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/pM4pX/what-is-your-winentered-ratio-ga-inside Having the ratio below 0.25% is the most common case at SG.

When I created my account I wrote my name wrong and didnt notice, it was suposed to be PoisonedG4mer. I've entered 367 giveways and won a shitty game that I didn't like so I made a giveway with it. Plus my friend is always wining something, in his first day he won Dead Space 2, and in another week he won Arma 2 and a tower defence game, he is allways making fun of me for never wining anything :(

Then why did you enter for this GA if you didn't even want it? Just so you could give it away again? Oh well, just another entry for the dark colored list....

That must have been a long and painful week of not winning anything great.

I think it would help the situation significantly if SG instituted a max CV cap that any given level can win, in order to better reward those with low win ratios or those who give more, which would at the same time also encourage a higher quantity of GA's and deter leeching.
Just my 2 cents.

Feel free to disagree, but as of right now leechers are dramatically lowering the chances of winning for everybody else. That's an indisputable fact.
Comment has been collapsed.
There already exist mechanisms to reward people. Also, everybody who enters a giveaway lowers the chance for everybody else.

Yes I'm quite aware, and I suppose this just comes down to a philosophical debate as to whether the wins on this site should be geared more towards pure random chance versus a behavioural based probability (or anywhere inbetween). There's no right answer, rather just varying opinions on the matter.
Comment has been collapsed.
If there was ever to be any sort of behavioural based probability bias, I'd rather see it based on number of entries made per day - a higher number equals a lower probability weighting per game entered. That way those who carefully choose which giveaways they enter and don't just 'use up the 300 on everything' would benefit somewhat. That said, it would change the whole ethos and mechanics and probably not for the best - at least now it's all down to pure random chance, which eliminates accusations of, well, anything, really.

So, I've been on SteamGifts for almost a year now, and I've joined about 3700 giveaways, but I have only won 6 games. I was wondering if I am the only one here who is this unlucky.
