Try the demo of the games, really. I was going to buy Fortune Summoners but I didn't really liked the controls. I bought the other two. The pack is not cheaper than the individual games anyway.

From my experience, you shouldn't buy any of them. Well, I can only speak for Chantelise and Recettear.
The games all have a demo, so you should probably try them if you don't want to throw your money down the drain.
The demo of Chantelise was so bad that it gave me an actual headache (because of the awful controls and the terrible, terrible sounds). Also, I should probably have tried the demo for Recettear myself before blindly buying it at last year's summer sale just because everyone seemed to consider it like an hidden gem or something. Believe me, it's not.

The games are good imo, and I really think we need more PC games like those. I suppose it's not your favorite kind of game :)

I actually really liked Recettear and while I only played the demo of Chantelise, I had no real problem. Maybe usding a pad makes it much easier.

Recettear's fun, if you're into its particular dungeon delve-y and management sim gameplay. I've only played a little of Fortune Summoners, and while it's okay so far, the controls are a little clunky and I'm not sure if I just have to get used to them or switch to a gamepad.

Still, I bought the pack and I don't regret it. Try the demos first, though.

I quite like Recettear and Fortune Summoners. However I can't get over Chantelise and the ridiculous difficulty. Every time you die you restart at the beginning of the area. And most of the time you end up dying at the end. Oh and don't even get me started on the camera. It's not a dynamic camera moving you have to awkwardly move it yourself. Incredibly annoying when you're in the middle of the battle, already madly pressing keys to avoid getting hit and attacking. You just don't have time to hold down the button camera to center it.

I died playing the demo...

That's pretty much why I bought the game.

I bought a new brand of cheese because a salesman slapped me in the face.

I liked the gameplay, but I don't want to pay for a game that will take me 1 hour to finish.

I actually found Fortune Summoners to be much more difficult than Chantelise. Especially at the start versus the flying monsters and on Day 6 when you're controlling the weakling Sana by herself. And don't get me started on the Harpys that cast Confuse on Arche near the end of the game...

Chantelise, on the other hand, I found to be challenging, but doable after a bit of practice. It's actually made so that you need to grind, but keep in mind that once you clear an area, you have immediate access to the exit. So if you die in a level further in, you can just run past all of the enemies.

Recettear was most definitely the best of the bunch, almost totally because of the item shop aspects. I found the dungeons to be a bit uncreative and got tired of them quite quickly, but the other parts of the game are a blast.

Get Fortune Summoners. Chantelise is not bad, but it's not that good either. Try the demo maybe?

I found both very enjoyable if you use a gamepad. Which you can take as a positive or negative. However, the game plays fine with keyboard and mouse.

Still have to really get to playing chantelise but played a few hours of Fortune Summoners. From what I played, Fortune Summoners has well developped mechanics and an interesting story, but the game gets a bit boring as you go on. The lack of voices is a big part for me in loss of interest in the game. If the had the complete version the voices the game might be much more dynamic.
