It's currently one of few random games given free on that site ending with .su. (can't be named due rules) although for some reason we can mention them fine in that thread "where they come from?" Always a bit double..
Others are Furry Stories: Alpha-Male or Block Competition.

Meanwhile the Corona beer brand is taking a big hit in sales: https://nypost.com/2020/02/27/americans-are-avoiding-corona-beer-amid-coronavirus-outbreak-survey-finds/

The game looks decent, but should it be "mocked" or used when people are dieing from it and who knows how big it will get?

Are there any limitations to making jokes? there's good humor and bad humor. Good games and bad games.

I know, its not funny. my question was if we should restrict humor, by deciding what is not socially allowed to mock/make fun of.

Death was always good topic for jokes. On the other hand it looks like one of those "too soon" cases.

But then you are dead so it doesn't matter anymore.
Death is inevitable and one of the ways of dealing with that fact was sense of humour.

Just like I said - It's too fresh to make jokes out of it too soon

A typical way for humanity is to denying the inevitability of death.
Other typical way to deal with it is to look for some special meaning in death, afterlife and so on. And I prefer good laugh instead.

I laugh as a coping mechanism, so whether I find something funny or not if it makes me fell bad, uncomfortable or insert extreme negative emotion here I'm gunna laugh. Might as well there be something of substance to laugh at rather than me just awkwardly laughing at "death".

You're getting a little too worked up about this. I understand based on a previous post, someone in your family is ill atm, and I can understand what it may be doing to you, but... Everyone has their opinions and beliefs, everyone has their own coping mechanisms, everyone has a different sense of humor.

What you need to realize, is nobody is attacking, mocking or joking about you or your loved ones directly, it's about the situation as a whole and I'm sure plenty would sympathize even if they themselves are making jokes or laughing at jokes, so... Just focus on what's important now. Be there for your loved ones, keep your spirits up, and try to keep theirs up.

Look at it this way though - you made a thread about it, resulting in free publicity.
Controversy sells, and many take advantage of that. :P

I wish the best for your country too, here things are getting really serious - we're at 14 days of complete close-down of cinemas, schools, universities and so on for the whole north of Italy =\ I think we beat South Korea and Iran for number of cases..

Thanks (and to you offcourse), 10 cases now and 1 hospital on lockdown, disgusting part is people hamstering anti bacterial gel and some sell it for 2x-3x the original amount.
Half treat it like it's some flu, the other are like this is some serious shit, don't know what to believe anymore.

oh well, then Italy is not alone on that.. here we see since 7-8 days ago those gels and the (often useless) masks selling at prices like 80€ for two bottles or five masks.. it's crazy, all the pharmacies have no more things like that.. luckily here we have had a few dozens of old men and women died with other serious issues apart from the virus, but we reached thousands of people infected and we don't know when it will end.. and it's spreading through europe =( We're torn between those two opinions too, some want to reopen schools restaurant cinemas etc and the other half wants to keep everything closed.. it's getting serious for real =(

I am afraid it's only the beginning. And yeah it's all about washing hands (normal soap is sufficient too) while so many just don't (especially kids at school) even grocery stores can be at risk (the carts people push, the products they touch) so why risk that exposure even more? Seems silly..

If it were up to me (and if i have the money) i'd just stock up on food and stay home but don't think my (reintegration) boss/wellfare agency gonna agree with that, or just most bosses for that fact. :p

In china they shut down a bunch of factories, the air has never been so clean there (co2) so this is all good for nature in kind of a way.

it's totally that, I use normal soap and water and I pay more attention in washing my hands often and that's it while everyone seems crazy about masks and expensive gel.. unfortunately i'm in the same situation and I can't really stock up on food and water and stay at home, it would be wonderful though, all schools will be closed at least for other 10 days so everyone stays at home and by the way, with 10 days of coronavirus here in northern italy I'm seeing awesome sunsets and blue skies for real.. luckily I don't live near milan where it's always gray and polluted, I live on the hills south of the Po river but even here with all the ceramics, cars (ferrari maserati lamborghini etc) factories and so on it's always extremely polluted.. now it's good for nature for real, blue skies every day and few people in the streets =P but we're still so afraid for possible infection spreads and so on since as I said, everything's closed starting from cinemas and most shops..

wow thanks for the link, let's hope for the best =( the cases are all concentred in southern Lombardy so the south of italy, the islands and so on aren't that affected but the main economic region is the centre of the pandemic and I really hope they're taking the right decisions..

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah we gotta have hope.

Still odd how it's so concentrated in Italy, i mean China you got so many people, living close together, but Italy? Also the ones that are spreading through the rest of Europe are mostly ones that had contact with Italy, not China.

We at work today got corona instructions, one of the rules was to wipe your keyboard clean a few times a day (it's only me and another colleague) but in an office who would actually do that? Same for door handles etc wiping them.
