WW2 shooter suggestions

Not an uninteresting question but i don't see in FPS. If you want to play a tank driver, there is a short BF5 war story. Otherwise... a submarine crew in silent hunter ? There is a full german campaign in company of heroes 1 but it's obviously not a shooter either.

I don't know a game that lets you play as German, but otherwise CoD: WoW was a great game imo

Red Orchestra 2 campaign starts on the german side

The only WW2 game I can think of where you can play as the Germans is Iron Storm (1995), but that's a turn-based tactics game, not a shooter.

The historical FPS where you can play the Germans: Verdun and Tannenberg. But both of them are from the WW1.

if you want to feel the true german ww2 vibe, try medal of honor and medal of honor underground (ps1)

Sniper elite is WW2 and in Sniper Elite 4 you can shoot Hitler in the nuts.

Pretty sure there aren't any SP FPS games like that (other than Red Orchestra 2,but its SP campaigns are basically a long tutorial for MP).
I suppose there's the next best thing(kinda)-Necrovision:Lost Company.Its set in WWI on the western front and you play as a german.

I see some of the more popular games have already been mentioned - the excellent Verdun + Tannenberg (WWI), Red Orchestra 2, the Silent Hunter series (submarine warfare). If we're talking MP games it makes sense to add Day of Infamy to the list - it's even bundled right now :)
