Gamepad, not mousepad.

And for the OP, buy a Microsoft X360 controler, instead of saving 5-10$, you will get the best controler available.

I have a wired 360pad for years and it's awesome. Nice quality and works flawless with games. Cost you maybe 25 dollars/euros for years of use.

Xbox 360 wired controller (best one BY FAR), Logitech F710, or the Xbox One controller (this one should be updated to be PC-compatible during this year, but no dates yet).

Xbox gamepad for PC would be the best, if U really want to save money buy wired version, but personally I'd choose wireless one :)

I've been using a Logitech Rumblepad for years, and switched to a wired Xbox360 pad. I'm very happy with it, it's not expensive, not fragile, and it works with most games without any setting to make.

Like above i prefer the Xbox 360 Pad Wired... in the most modern games with gamepads u have a direct 360-Pad-Support and the displaying buttons on screen fitting with the layout of the 360-Pad... only the quality of them is not the best, good standard...

I just bought today a PS4 gamepad, and it's the most comfortable gamepad I've ever held. And the DS4Tool Wrapper is great for creating a permanent emulation of XInput, making it compatible with every gamepad-enabled game out there. It works great wired, but it's a bit harder to make it work wireless, you need a bluetooth adapter for that. Also, the controller does not come with a USB/MicroUSB-B cable, you need to buy it separately. Totally worth 65 dollars (5 for the cable), though.

Either get the Logitech one or the Xbox one. The Xbox gamepad is smaller. It's a matter of preference, both work the same. I own the F310, Logitech.

Logitech F310. It has lasted almost 2 years for me now, just don't drop it and it will work just great. Sometimes I use my PS3 controller too, but since my computer's bletooth stopped working I'm afraid I will ruin the battery by keeping the controller plugged in all the time, but if you have working bluetooth, I recommend PS3 controller too.
